Documentation is a major process. And we lacked it. Period. Only epics were written down and edicts made on stones. Otherwise, our religious texts were mostly passed orally. There should have been more copies of it - duplicates, triplicates.
Khair...
You are very true, but there was no lack of documentation but there was no everlasting peace and stability in the whole region, what ever documentation was there, always the invading forces destroyed, think what all information we have lost when Arabs burnt the taxasila library, it is said it burned for 6 days. The biggest negative of our civilization has always been our lack of documentation. The shruti shyte continues to haunt us. A few documents could have cemented many claims long back.

Do you know why were the Vedas are recited in a oral tradition? Even in those days there is proof that Vedas were stolen and burnt by invaders of those times, so all the sages had a meeting and decided to write the Vedas in a form with which one can remember the text, by this they eliminated the fear of destruction and theft.
Thus this tradition of remembering the texts as it is in the form of poetry and songs came in to form, this also had a bad impact on neo discoverers and inventors in the midevial time not to document in some form or other.
13. Crescograph is an Indian invention
It is a device for measuring growth in plants and was invented in the early 20th century by Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose.
I have no clue on these claims lol
Jagadish Chandra Bose was born in Mymensingh now Bangladesh.

Takshashila, located in the northwest region of India
Not much to do with Bangladesh, which came into existence in 1971. He died under British India, so this thread has nothing to do with us.
