Srinagar, Nov 20:
After the surrender of footballer-turned-militant Majid Irshad Khan on his mother’s impassionate appeal, two more families in south Kashmir have made emotional appeals to their militant sons to shun the path of violence and return home.
In a video which has gone viral, parents of Ashiq Hussain Bhat of Shopian burst into tears while appealing him to return home.
“We will consume poison, lock our house and flee from here. Where have you gone my son? May my son come back healthy,” Ashiq’s mother Fahmeeda is seen praying and appealing her son to return home.
Ashiq’s father, Mohammad Isaaq said they have no other support as he was the only bread earner of the family.
In the video, Ashiq’s wife said their marriage has not completed a year yet.
“I will not be able to live with him. I will commit suicide if he doesn’t return,” she said.
A couple of weeks ago, Bhat, a shopkeeper had left home as routine but didn’t return in the evening and was switched off his mobile.
Later, his gun-wielding photograph had gone viral on social media. The local youth are taking to social media to announce their joining of militancy.
SP Shopian, Ambarkar Shriram Dinkar said police was in touch with the family.
“If Ashiq wants to come back, we will definitely facilitate his return,” he said.
Dinkar said Ashiq has been in militancy from last 12 to 15 days and is associated with Lashkar-e-Toiba.
Another family from Pulwama has also requested their son Manzoor Ahmad Baba to return home and give up militancy.
“If he is with any group, please let him go,” Bhat’s mother Jawahara Begum is seen requesting militants in a video, which has gone viral.
Hailing from Drabgam area of Pulwama district, 20-year-old fruit grower Baba has joined the militancy recently.
Baba has either joined Hizbul Mujahideen or Jaish-e-Mohammad.
SP Pulwama, Mohammad Aslam said he was aware of the video appeal of Baba’s mother.
“Baba is active in militancy from last 15 days. There are reports that he has either joined Hizb or Jaish and these reports are being verified,” he said.
The families called local media to circulate their video appeals so that their sons can see them and return their homes.
The fresh appeals by two families come days after footballer-turned-militant Majid Khan surrendered before the authorities after an impassionate video appeal of his mother, Ayesha Begum, urging him to return had gone viral on social media.
The security officials have assured that no charges would be pressed against Majid and instead all possible help would be extended to him for securing his career.
On Sunday, Director General of Police, Shesh Paul Vaid had requested mothers, whose sons have gone towards militancy, to make an appeal to them to return their homes.
“I would request all mothers to request their children to return because we don’t want anybody to get hurt or killed. I request all the mothers to appeal their children to leave the path of violence,” he had said.

Srinagar:
Chief Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) Mahmood Shah Tuesday in his emailed statement said, “Forces are committing worst atrocities and human rights violations in Kashmir.”
“After the return of Majid Khan back to his home with the consent of militants, in reply to the request of his mother, the armed forces are compelling the family members of other militants to do the same, although they do not agree to this vicious plans,” Mahmood Shah said, adding: “We must clarify the fact to India that the indigenous struggle of Kashmir stands firmly on the grounds of sacrifices. Our elders, brothers, mothers, sisters, daughters, and children have invested their blood in the struggle.”

“The incident of Shafi Gojri is enough for forces to accept the bitter reality that even though the forces forcefully called his wife and children at encounter-site, Shafi preferred fight to the end over the slavery,” he said.

“This is an indigenous struggle of Kashmir. To put an end to forces rule in Jammu Kashmir is the mission,” he said.
“Our mothers are neither afraid of threats nor they will call upon their sons to get back to their homes. They are the mothers who consider their martyrs as grooms. From now on, no fighter will ever return his home. It is the Indian forces who would have to quit. They must vacate Kashmir,” he said.

They better.......

Kashmir police have already appealed to the Militants that they can surrender and if they've never involved in any crime there'll be no charges pressed on them and they'll help them in getting back to society, if they've already committed a crime police will use the law for minimum charges...

Its upto them, they better realize they've to take care of their family... this is not going to get them anywhere
