2 Killed, 2 Critically Injured in Explosion at Health Institute in Nagaland's Dimapur

KOHIMA: At least two persons have been killed and two others critically injured in a blast in the premises of Christian Institute of Health Sciences & Research (CIHRS) at Dimapur in Nagaland today.

Police said the blast occurred at around 4:45 pm in one of the warehouses located within the CIHRS compound.

The two killed have been identified as Prakash Vishwakarma (40) and his daughter Ruth Gurung, both from the Nepali community. The injured are Deepak Gurung, husband of Ruth and their son Robin (4).

Police said Prakash, a staff of CIHSR working for the past six months as a cleaner, had returned home today from work in the afternoon and was seen in the room with an object that appeared to be a grenade which exploded killing him and his daughter.

The injured have been shifted to CIHSR and the area was sanitised by the police.

Well they want to replace the current style of government and install a communist government. They look at any development as a threat to their ideology and usually kill any doctors or destroys schools specially government schools and hospitals.

Maoist are spread out all over NE, they usually work near the borders with Bangladesh or Myanmar since they can retreat across border when authorities launch any operations. NE militants don't attack hospitals, they attack companies such as mines and other larger industrial projects.
