The Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked attacks with small arms, automatic weapons and mortars along the Line of Control (LoC) at 1715 hours on Monday in Jammu and Kashmir's Sunderbani sector.
The Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively however during the exchange of fire, riflemen Vinod Singh and Jaki Sharma were grievously injured and succumbed.
Vinod Singh (24) was from Danapur village, Jourian, Akhnoor district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Jaki Sharma (30) was a resident of Sanhail village, Hiranagar, Jammu district in Jammu and Kashmir.
On March 2, Pakistan resorted to cross-border fire and heavy shelling targeting Indian civilians and soldiers
