You kids aren't very bright, are you? Yeah, Russia may manage to peel Crimea from Ukraine, but in the long run this little display of childish behavior plays directly into western hands. Any Ukrainians who wished closer ties with Russia, and indeed most of her neighbors, will take note of this little fit. Any doubts most had of closer ties to the west will be erased, and true Russian face and intentions toward their neighbors revealed. This may play well with domestic Russian market....but lost most goodwill in the region. When the EU goes to people in the region and says "the Russians just want to occupy you and steal land"....well, they have this to point to. Ask the Poles, Balts, Georgians, etc....how this will play.
