What's new

2,000 killed in Nigeria, but world failed to react

Very true. We show a very huge Hue and cry for killing in Pakistan and france but whole world is totally silent on Nigerian killing of Boko Haram. I show one niger leader on TV appealing the world to help.

. .
Why should people care about other countries as much as they do about their own? I'm moved by the suffering in Nigeria but if I was asked to go and fight to save the country tomorrow I wouldn't go and nor would most of the people on this board.

If you learn history well~ that is the truth. Cultural influence spread not only through ruling but also through technology advancement. Some are more widespread and some are limited.
How do you think Pakistan become Islamic? The cultural sphere of islamic caliphate dominated the world. in medieval era, spreading from African Maghreb and Andalusia to Maritime Southeast Asia, through conquest and through trade.

The rise of western science and technology replaced the domination of Islamic cultural Influence, and here you're now, everything from clothes, military weapons, government systems, transport, internet, and 99% of what you wear, see, experience, and live are the product of western cultural influence dominance over the world. (Except for certain isolated tribe and region.)

correct...
just a minor confusion...before the crusades, who were most successful the west or the muslims?...if i remember correctly, the above mentioned field were in the hold of muslims? no?
