Why care about wars?
Why dont live with peace??
No one should poke his nose anywhere, then no problems will be created...
Live happy, forget about wars!!:tup:

Yep, I completely agree with you, more power to peace lovers.
I was just participating in a discussion about war history, not proposing a war(Which I think is okey in a defence related forum)

Thank you.

...
5,500 sq MILES of captured land given back to Pakistan in Kashmir region as an act of Good Will Gesture in Simla Agreement 1971.
What did your airforce do?

And as far as I remember perfectly, we lost 14 Su-7 due to MULTIPLE passes over the targets with low fuel, deep inside Pakistan territory 6 times a day(6 sorties per Pilot).
I am proud of those brave pilots, they destroyed the targets and did their job!!

You mean to say Pakistan would have won if it were in a 'better' geographic position? You can always give such reasons for losing a war, for you can have a lot of reasons. you can say India is a bigger country with better everything. Its better not to rejoice over shooting a plane when half of your country is lost.

Oh really? Because invading a land that had nothing to do with you and taking advantage of it by invading itfrom 6 different positions in three different ways, was a fair 'victory?' LOL

And yes, it was a stalemate of the western front, wasn't it?

"shooting a plane"

More like 3-4 times more than what we lost even when being totally disadvantaged in almost every way possible.

What the F are you talking about mate? Even if 5,500 sq miles statement is true PAF had 1/5 air force of IAF so i dont expect them to be everywhere..

As for Su-7... IAF brave pilots? destroyed PAF targets deep inside our territory? mate.. see... thats the problem wit you guys... you guys are taught myths which then is interpreted as reality in your society. 32 Su-7s were lost with confirmed kills that were proven to foreigner defence analysis. Su-7 failed to cause any impact on PAF. In fact much inferior ground attack F-86 and F-6 proved more effective in ground strikes against IAF.

Simla Agreement

In 1972 the Simla Agreement was signed between India and Pakistan, the treaty ensured that Pakistan recognized the independence of Bangladesh in exchange for the return of the Pakistani POWs. India treated all the POWs in strict accordance with the Geneva Convention, rule 1925.[27] It released more than 90,000 Pakistani PoWs in five months.[66] Further, as a gesture of goodwill, nearly 200 soldiers who were sought for war crimes by Bengalis were also pardoned by India.

The accord also gave back more than 13,000 km² of land that Indian troops had seized in West Pakistan during the war, though India retained a few strategic areas.[67] But some in India felt that the treaty had been too lenient to Bhutto, who had pleaded for leniency, arguing that the fragile democracy in Pakistan would crumble if the accord was perceived as being overly harsh by Pakistanis and that he would be accused of losing Kashmir in addition to the loss of East Pakistan.[13]

Your stupidity has no bounds.. Is it so hard for your brain to fallow simple rules of staying on the topic and not diverting it into nonsense talk show that is taught in India?

We do not fly Airplanes to show off, we fly them to win the war, either by getting killed or killing the enemy. We need the conclusion. That's what taught in India and It will take next 200 years for you to understand. Its not about how many you killed and how many of yours got killed. The fight is for the territory and superiority with development of the nation. This is the simple logic of the war.
Keep deciding the conclusion we already decided in 1971!!!
