Tribesmen offer to defend borders: Indian threats
Nov 30: Reacting to the statements of Indian government in the backdrop of Mumbai attacks, the tribal leaders offered three million armed volunteers to the government of Pakistan for safeguarding the northern and eastern borders of the motherland.
The tribal chieftains, malaks, elders and elected representatives from North Waziristan, Bajaur and Mohmand regions in a press conference and separate statements called upon the federal government to converge all their concentration on the eastern borders with India and leave north-western borders to the brave people of tribal belt.
“India is our ‘enemy number one’ and the government of Pakistan should not take light it threats and evil designs. It is hatching conspiracy against Pakistan and its people,” they said.
They alleged that Indian intelligence agency RAW was active in the tribal areas to create law and order situation by carrying out explosions and other acts of militancy.
