Her disappearance has led to the creation of a petition campaign on the global civic campaigning website Avaaz.

Sarah Khaled al-Alawo from eastern Deir al-Zour is another woman who spoke on state TV.

Alawo was described as a member of the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front. She stated that she catered to the rebels’ sexual demands as a “sexual jihadist.”

But the Alawo family stressed that their daughter was arrested from Damascus University campus after she expressed opinions in support of the uprising against President Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

This recalls me of Daniel Pearl scenario.I remember that when he was slaughtered and his famous slaughter video was released ,same things were diagnosed.
For example,the militant reading the message of his commander was from left to right,and message was in Arabic.So,critics immediately pointed out that Arabic is written from right to left...whereas English is what we read and write from left to right.
This does not justifies all the action of TTP.However,it proves 'demonizing the demon' strategy.
The most tragic part is that Islam is defamed indirectly/directly when such shameful words such as 'sex jihad' etc are attempted to insert in Islamic concept.Do not expect an outsider to label /associate it with shia or sunni version specifically. An outsider sees Islam as general.

I infact pray it should be a propaganda. The article which you point to bases it's proof on number of characters allowed to be posted in twitter. Maybe right or maybe wrong...I dunno.
