16 people on things they couldn't believe about America until they moved here

That was a site problem, not mine. Now, Haji, you fellows are always 'the next big thing'. For the last 1000 years, and you haven't done diddly while the rest of the world keeps chugging along.

lol, you see, I already knew. You hilly billy uneducated loser can't comprehend anything above elementary level, hence this comment

Read post#27 again...

What happened to your bullshit you posted in post #25 ?

Nothing happened. I stand by what I said. Health care system is better in many Middle-Eastern countries, inflation is way less, quality of life better for citizens, more security, and zero tax rates...ALL of these are "facts", not opinion you retarded toilet-skin.
You KNOW you were talking out your ***, right.

Read above, toilet-skin

The U.S. feeds the world.

We cure disease. We invent.

Yes, humans cure disease..humans invent. I know that, hilly billy.

Btw, who "we"? Sure as hell uneducated hilly billy pieces of trash like you don't do anything. People from all over the world...educated, enlightened people..come together in an intellectually stimulating environment and achieve great things. I wonder who are you talking about when you say "we"? The Iranian-America who established E-bay or son of an Arab immigrant, who established Apple Inc. or Turkish scientists in U.S who recently perfected Liquid Armor through a technological break through? Who "we", hilly billy toilet-skin? o_O

What was the last great invention out of the M.E. ?

Define "great" invention?

Remember, if it weren't for a white guy, you'd all still be riding around the desert on camels trading dates and cloth.

No, remember that if it wasn't for Eastern/Middle-East civilizations, 'whites' of Europe would still be running around in jungles, unable to built even primitive toilets, eating each others' flesh, unable to clean themselves, and would be wearing leaves as clothes.

You see, historically, "East" gave civilization to the "West" and not the other way around. "Western" languages, numbers, city-states, civilizations etc etc ALL came from "East/Middle-East" or Egypt etc.....

"East" always produced more number of superior civilizations than West..and this trend will continue. You dominated 19th/20th century and some time before..and you gaggle about 'white' this and that? LOL, dude, Arabs alone ruled Spain for 800 years. Chinese outproduced entire Western Europe combined in raw GDP for CENTURIES....Islamic Mughal Empire of India had a bigger economy than ALL of Western Europe COMBINED as recent as 18th century...and you are jumping on just 200 years?

Poor soul.

Lastly, an idiot like you won't know, but there is nothing 'East' and 'West' historically..nor "white" and "non-white" ..All of these terms arose in colonial era to justify European colonialism.

To ancient Greeks, "eastern" Persians were way more "civilized", "advance" and "respectable" than the "western, white" Germanic tribes roaming in Europe..who were barbaric, uncivilized, weak, dirty, and couldn't even built basic toiletry...

But then again, a mentally challenged retard like you can't comprehend reality of any sort...

.
'whites' of Europe would still be running around in jungles,...

'Jungles' in Europe ? Really ?:o: You don't know WTF you're talking about, do you ? And Jobs' father played no part besides sperm donor in his life. He never even saw the kid.

Just to 'earn money' ? The shear fact that we don't squat over a hole in the floor to take a dump make the U.S. a 'vastly better place', period. I'd like to see a thread,
16 people on things they couldn't believe about Asia/ Middle East until they moved here.

I think that would be shocking.:o:

There is no need to get so protective. Everyone whose been to America or lives there knows that it's undoubtedly the greatest country on the planet. Everything in the world that makes life fun or worth living is present in the US or originated there- the casinos of vegas , massive consumer culture , silicon valley , hollywood , Rockstar games (that almost led to me failing my CFA exams) , an excellent economic system that promotes job mobility and entrepreneurship , the beaches of Hawaii , uncountable fast food joints in the suburbs etc. Everyone is just making jokes here , there is no need to get so offended.

"Running around in jungles" is not meant to be taken literally. It gives you a certain imagery, that was the point.

Main Point: "East/Middle-East" gave civilization to "West/Europe", and not the other way around. This is a well-established historical fact.

Anyways, let people read and get enlightened :D

I made no jokes. I stand by what I said. And everything I've written is 100% correct.

KSA has a better health system than U.S.A, but that doesn't mean that U.S isn't the greatest (of one of the greatest ever!) country/nation on the planet. Hilly billy is just being sensitive here..

AUz is an asshole.:woot:

What did I do?

Everything I've written is 100% correct... (other than rhetoric part of it, which YOU promoted me to write)...

Take care.

Well , if we are talking about healthcare , then what you said is an understatement. US health care and insurance system is nothing short of daylight robbery:lol:. Low income patients from the US is one reason for the boom in medical tourism in India. US politicians need to get over this free market hangover and accept the reality. Some things like health care , police , sewer lines , roads etc are meant to be provided by the state and not left to private profit making corporations. For the lowest of the low income people in the US, a disease requiring extensive surgery is a tacit death sentence. i don't even see that changing anytime soon because many US congressmen get loads of funds from insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies . I would say most countries in western Europe , Canada ,Gulf Kingdoms , all of them have a better health care system than the US.

Very true.

I hope that hilly billy doesn't explode over you now o_O

Healthcare provided by the state ? Have you been watching the news lately with the Obamacare fiasco? The government is the most inefficient body to manage large programs. Every program that they've got their hands on is going broke. Socialized healthcare in Europe is a joke. You have to wait weeks to see a doctor. Countries like Germany are looking for ways to get out of the healthcare business. The 'nanny state' is one of the reasons for the economic troubles in Europe.

Some things?

First of all, none of those are 'provided' by the government. They are provided by the people via taxes, but that is not the point anyway. A government do not produce anything. It take from some to pay for services from others. Even the military and the police fall under this principle.

The problem with your argument is that you provided no explanation as to why the government is responsible for these 'some things' but not other 'some things'. If you have no problems with the President taking care of your health, then you should have no problems with the President telling you what to eat, drink, or who to marry, correct? After all, these 'some things' do affect your health, no?

We have a communist in the making here.

Learn the meaning of the world communist. My views are that the same as that of John Maynard Keynes. Do you have any ****in clue who he was? I seriously doubt it. He was one of the greatest economists who ever lived and is hardly called a communist. The policies used to lift the US out of the great depression of 1930 were based on his theories. Communism is a philosophy that aims to create a classless state where the means of production are owned by the proletarian. Providing healthcare doesn't make one a communist , you noob. Canada provides free healthcare to it's citizens , is it a communist country?

And why is the government responsible you ask? Well , because you pay taxes to them. Government is supposed to use taxes to make the life better for citizens. What else do you want to privatize other than health care, commy hater? Yeah , let's outsource the court and justice system to Walmart. Good ****in luck winning a case against them the next time one of their CEO's paralyses you by running over you with his BMW. It seems you have been watching too many videos of Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan. Anyone who opposes a totally free market seems like a communist to you.

We have people here that are richer than 'webby' could ever dream of being, and the U.S is fine with them. You can't be saying that Pakistan is 'higher end' than the U.S.
What he is trying to say is that a "Rich Pakistani" will get here and find out he is considered a second rate dirt vendor here. And I have been many places besides the US. (not Pakistan or India yet....maybe someday)
