12 year old boy being produced in court under police custody

I entirely agree, in principle.

You will agree, in turn, that we have to traverse so much territory, including giving parents a meaningful assurance that their. Holder will survive, including assuring equal chances of survival for the girl child, including bringing about universal primary education and ensuring nutrition at those ages where it affects the development of the intellect, including a million other acts of social justice, that this seems like a mirage today. Perhaps your generation will see the day; mine will not.
I'll agree whatever you had said.Laws and programs are there but it has not percolated to the bottom of the society.Just like economic miracle of last 2 decades has not benifieted everyone in the country.Well all these issues are for some other thread unless i go OT over here.
The caption under the photo says,*

12 year old faizan and his sister are being produced in Srinagar court for their participation in anti India demonstrations.

Sorry, I cant read Indians for being happy on the arrest of a 11 or 12 year olds and compare them for blasphemy or participation in anti India demonstrations.*

And I am indeed sorry for those who thanked them.*

It is a shame.
When posted news is not clear to indians about the incident then sure they will make guesses.

Court rejects police remand of 12 - year old boy, sends him to juvenile home

Excelsior Correspondent

Srinagar, Aug 27: Court today rejected police remand for a 12-year old boy who has been booked for attempt to murder, sedition and arson in Eid-ul-Fitr violence that took place on last Monday in which a police vehicle was set ablaze and three police men were beaten up by mob in old city area.

Police have arrested 5 youth for Eid violence, most of them young boys while 12-year boy and 6th standard student, Faizan Bashir Sofi son of Bashir Ahmad Sofi of Ganderpora Eidgah was arrested by police yesterday and was lodged in Police Station Safa Kadal for the night.

Faizan was produced before the court today for remand but court sent him to juvenile home. Advocate Babar Jan Qadri who pleaded Faizan's case prayed before the court that his detention in the Police Station was violation of the Article 21 and 22 of Indian Constitution and violation of international law governing child rights. He pleaded against police remand and court then sent the boy to juvenile home.

Police have booked Faizan under Section 307, 336, 152 of RPC. Under these sections he faces murder, sedition, arson and un-lawful assembly charges.

Police arrested 5 youth including Faizan for setting ablaze a police vehicle on the occasion of Eid. The other 4 were sent to Central Jail Srinagar. Three of them have been identified as Mohammad Burhan Lone son of Gulzar Ahmad Lone of Shaheen Mohalla, Noor Bagh Srinagar, first year student at Gandhi Memorial College Srinagar; Mohammad Yunis Sheikh, 17, son of Mohammad Sidiq Sheikh of Dana Mazar Safa Kadal who is a salesman; and Abid Beg son of Ghulam Mohammad Beg of Mahraj Bazar Srinagar.

Police sources said that hunt for 7 others, who are also involved in the setting ablaze of the police vehicle and beating of policemen, is on.

The 12 youth have been identified on the basis of Video footage and photographic evidence of the spot, police sources added.

Why are children being incited to commit violence? Are there not enough adults to fight their own battle that they must brainwash their kids into protesting and destroying ? Well anyway, it is against the Indian constitution to detain a minor under adult circumstances so hopefully these kids will be given a stern warning and their parents will not walk away without investigation

A minor girl sentenced to death for blasphemy..that too fabricated.
A minor boy just being produced in front of the court.what do you do to a minor or whatever when they do a crime?thats the normal procedure!
See the difference, one is extremist the other is more democratic, pakistans won't get it in their heads,as usual
And the boy was only sent to juvenile home, court rejecting police custody.
Delusional Pakistanis at work again

Main reason may be that injured/dead/arrested women/kids in such violent rallies bring forth much sympathy to the cause and project as being victim s.Hence you always find kids and women forming the first line of defenses and men following behind them be it palestine, kashmir or karachi.Might have seen the pics of recent rally in karachi on other thread.

Secondly presence of kids in rallies bring in the moral dilemma among the authorities and stops them from using heavy handed technique in mob control. Its a well tried and tested technique example of it people saw in london riots recently.

Absolutely pathetic. Big brave men are these Indians.

Cowards.

And what about the 14 year old girl sentenced to death, apparently for no reason? Sentenced to death and sent to juvenile home, see the difference? You "big hearted Pakistani"!

Do you see anyone on this forum supporting the case?

Here we have pathetic cowardly Bhartis backing this.

IPC needs the change with judicial and police reform.Instead of picking up the kid file charges against parent.or rather take the custody of the kids from parents who sends their kid to harms way in such rallies .Just as norway does. There was a case when a infant was charged under dowry complain by the police in bihar.Thats where the law must change as dowry law allow arrest of everyone in inlaws house on the complain daughter in law.

Maybe in Pakistan 12 year olds who commit a crime are sent to suicide training camp under protection of bearded terrorists. In India they are presented in court under police escort.

Different countries different rules.
