Can we please not post human death desecration pictures so openly -
You could have simply just posted the description in text format to make your point

Malasian 12 over reacted ..and court was correct

Malaysia is a very tolerant country in my opinion.

I have relatives in Malaysia and I visit there often. Around 30% of the population is Chinese and even though we are a minority, we are treated very well in my experience.

You must be the 1st Chinese, from whom i'm hearing this,I"ve heard of Chinese being treated as 2nd class citizen, some riots targeting Chinese ethnic group etc.

By the way,it seems once the small Chinese minority controlled 80% of Malaysian economy :china:

I'm sure there have been historical problems between communities, but I'm talking about today.

Go and visit Malaysia, you'll see what I mean.

It's probably the most welcoming place I have been to. And I've traveled around the world a lot.

Malaysia is a Muslim country but it is also very diverse in terms of ethnicity and religion.

I am a Chinese Atheist and I have never once felt uncomfortable in Malaysia. It's a great tourist destination.

Agreed, Malaysia is very diverse and tolerant for people of all races and religion. Though the Chinese merchants there do control a large portion of the trading & commerce the Malaysia government has also implemented regulations to ensure that the local community get benefits that non malays would not be entitled to essentially trying to balance out the inequalities.

If you compared Malaysia to Indonesia then you would see how big a difference there is. The forum members should be thanking the government for taking action and not condemning them.

Seeing the kind of pictures posted here which have no relevance to the subject at hand one cannot help but feel that there exists a Ogreish streak amongst us that comes to the fore at the slightest.

Mods : Would you step in please to remove pictures of burnt bodies & dead children from this post ?

The pictures in the post are disgusting as they contain gory details.

A good example is set by Malaysian court. This is the way minorities must be protected. My opinion is that these people should have got more sever punishment for this kind of ANTI-ISLAMIC behaviour. They got away with quite lenient and mild punishment. Court may have been lenient because it may be a first case of its kind there.

Please avoid un-necessary flame and horrible pictures.

Some of the members here are religious,so their reaction can be equated to Danish cartoon controversy reaction.

Shabash, keep the intolerants under control. Good job Malaysia.

The Indian origin Hindus should be thankful to the Malaysian govt for fining and jailing these Muslims.

Well I'm personally sick of your "Hindu origins", "Hindu forefathers therefore carrying some hindu traditions", etc. BS that you carry around all the time and stick to many people in Pakistan as well. It's been getting on my nerves and this was another classic example of xenophobic bigotry.

Hate cannot be hidden under the garb of civility.

Thanks! :thinktank:

I think modern Malaysia is a good example actually.

Malaysia has a Muslim majority, with a big Chinese and Indian minority. Demographically it looks tricky, but they made it work really well. (Barring historical issues like the May riots).

They have managed to make Malaysia such a desirable tourist attraction and a peaceful country, we should do the same in Asia between Chinese+Pakistanis+Indians!
