KARACHI: Twelve Awami National Party (ANP) activists kidnapped two Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) personnel while they were patrolling the Sultanabad area in the wee hours of Monday. Rangers Sub-Inspector Riaz Sarwar filed a complaint with the Jackson police against 12 ANP activists, including Zainul Abideen, Subhan, Rehmatullah, Imran, Malik Naveed and Zaid Gul. Sarwar said the ANP men had kidnapped Rangers’ Naik Rehmatullah and Tanveer and taken them to an ANP office where the law enforcers’ weapons were snatched from them and they were tortured; however, the Rangers personnel were later released and admitted to a hospital. staff report
