The number of stray dogs in Karachi have massively increased.
Dog-bite cases have risen due to the increase of street dogs.
Reportedly, more than 12,000 peoples had been bitten by dogs in the city during nine months.
Sindh government and local bodies not taking concrete steps for the elimination of stray dogs.
In this regard, Mayor Karachi has stated that we do not have poison to kill dogs, while no announcement about it from the government and district municipalities do not have puppy poison and vaccine.
Following the incidents, dogs are mostly attacking people on the streets at night time and motorcycle accidents caused by dogs, becuase who running behind the motorcyclists.
During nine months of this year from 1st June to September, as much as 7008 peoples arrived at the Jinnah Hospital due to the dog-bite, where provided medical treatment.
Jinnah Hospital Director Dr Seemi Jamali said that hundreds of people injured from dog bites were also brought from lower Sindh.
No strategy to make for the elimination of street dogs and dog-bite incidents, she added.
DECs officers said we do not have poison to kill dogs.
