Does the PAF have its own airborne outfit then?

Yes they have their own para training school...specifically to train their Special Operations Forces (Special Service Wing -SSW).

To avoid confusion, this is nothing like an Airborne Div. All of the cadets who are shown in the pictures take on Para training as an optional, adventure hobby sort of a thing as it is offered at the Academy. Beyond that, the course itself has no relevance for the cadets/officers. The primary reason that this course runs is for the Special Forces. SSG (Navy) send their personnel to the PTS Peshawar (where the SSG (Army) undergoes para training. PAF established their own facilities and now the operators from Special Service Wing (SSW) and also cadets from Risalpur who opt for this course go.

There is also a difference in terms of the basic para qualification for SSG/SSW trainees and those who opt for this course as an adventure hobby. Take note that all of the training cadres are SSW officers and NCOs (light blue overalls and SSW commando wing):

The manufacturers of the caps should be taken to task for misspelling "airborne"...I am sure the cadets got a kick out of "Air born"..
