115 Kashmiri youth among 219 from J&K inducted into the Indian Army

rinagar, February 26, (Scoop News)-The Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre (JAK LI RC) showcased its latest batch of 219 passing out young soldiers from the State of J&K on Monday, a defence spokesman said.


He said that recruit Course Serial number 113, on having completed one year of strenuous training was attested today at a glittering parade at the Bana Singh Parade Ground of JAK LI Regimental Centre. The Passing Out Parade, depicting graduation of Recruits and their transformation into Young Soldiers, was reviewed by Lt Gen AK Bhatt, GOC, Chinar Corps and was attended by the proud parents and relatives of young soldiers from the State of J&K besides a number of civil and military dignitaries.
Spokesman said the dauntless young soldiers of the Regiment hailing from all regions and religions of the State of J&K, marching in precise unison with a singular aim of devoting their lives in service of their nation, singing their Regimental Song ‘Balidanam Veer Lakshnam’, inspired one and all as their voice echoed in the Kashmir Valley. Their salute to the Tri-Colour with National Anthem playing inspired patriotic ardour among all present.

Defence spokesman said that Lt Gen AK Bhatt congratulated the Young Soldiers for their immaculate Parade and impressed upon selfless service towards the Nation. He praised their contribution towards encouraging more and more youth from J&K to come forward to join the Security Forces. The Chinar Corps Commander also complimented the parents for motivating and guiding their wards to build their future by serving the nation. He also appealed to the youth of Kashmir not to tread the path of violence and work for bringing peace in the Valley. The Chinar Corps Commander also warned that those who take up Arms are enemies of the nation and will be dealt with accordingly.

“The young soldiers who distinguished themselves in varied facets of training were also felicitated by the Chinar Corps Commander. Recruit Firdous Ahmad Khan of Bandipora district received the Sher-e-Kashmir Sword of Honour and Triveni Singh Medal for being adjudged ‘Over all Best Recruit’ and Recruit Navdeep Biehal of Jammu district bagged the Chewang Rinchen Medal for being ‘Best in Firing’ he said.
Spokesman said that proud parents and relatives pipped the soldiers ready to join their battalions and to tread the immortal path of glory, living up to the best traditions of the Indian Army. As a mark of respect, gratitude and recognition of contribution made by the parents of these young soldiers, they were also presented with the Gaurav Padaks instituted by the Army.
