The same sense says no one is pakistani either...you are punjabi, sindhi, balochi, pakhtoon and etc. You can not selectively pick argument to sooth your purpose.

before the Hindus could not do anything because the were rarely in power, during the Congress government before partiton, you made bande Matram the national anthem, you made Muslim children bow before a potrait of Gandhi, and i am sure if given the chance you would have killed a lot of Muslims, that chance you got when the British were withdrawing, so you took full advantage of it, and ours was just a revenge tactic
