100 push ups a day

GOMAD (milk) would destroy me! Many people have lactose intolerance. Milk would make me very ill. But I agree that people are going insane over things like eggs and whole milk. The human body needs fats as part of a normal diet. Just not too much.

Eggs still have a bad rep for cholesterol, which confuses me. Maybe an M.D. can clarify... but your cholesterol is made by your own body. It's not like the cholesterol in eggs magically passes through your stomach lining to enter your blood.
Not an MD but internet reading has got me believing that

Your daily cholesterol intake should remain to about 300 mg a day. Most of your cholesterol is created not ingested. A single egg has about 200 mg if eaten with the yolk. It takes a little taste acquiring but you can easily eat 10 eggs a day (if you were on a freak body building program) if you eat it without the yolk as the egg white has zero cholesterol.

Dietary cholesterol raises HDL cholesterol levels in humans and it can have adverse effect on your cholesterol profile and thus the coronary system in the long run.

Limited cholesterol intake is advised.

Any extreme dietary change, even a positive one is rejected by your body as it is not accustomed to it.

that is right, to be healthy, you have to have a balanced diet plus doing excercise. dieting is not good.

It's generally suggested that you increase your heart beat for constant 25 minutes daily, after such endurance, you should normally break out in sweat. Just put on some joggers and go for a run. I started with a ten minute run, now i can easily excel over an hour @ 9 minute mile.
Press ups wont give you the same experience of being energized.
However, if you merely want to gain weight, 2 Bananas with a pint of milk will boost your waistline in less than a month.

@ sports people

will 10 sets of 10 push ups and little over 1 hour of exercise help you get in better shape? My goal is to gain 10 pounds in 8 weeks... will this exercise help?

Well honestly it all depends on your metabolism, for me personally i have the most horrible metabolism. No matter how much i eat, i can never gain weight and i was stuck at 130 pounds for a while even though i did these push ups, played lots of sports and tried to increase my food intake. Transformation happened when i joined the gym, if you want to gain weight and add muscle to your body than you are going to have to pump iron. Its as simple, exercises such as pull ups or push ups are great to tone down your muscles but if you want to add size you will have to lift weights. Perform less reps but increase the weight, this will ensure you gain mass fast. After the work out, i would highly recommend that you drink protein shake. It definitely helps because your body desperately needs proteins, this will ensure that you add more size. I would say its, 70% nutrition and 30% workout. Ensure that you eats lot but healthy food, not junk from Mcdonalds or our usual ghee mein banay parathay.

i work out 30 min every day . i am trying to increase my weight by 5 kgs from last one year but unable to do so i am six feet tall i weight 67.5 kg.

i been traing now for about 17 years and when i first started i could never bulk up.the thing that worked for me was a high carb an protein diet and hitting the gym 5 times a week i do one day on chest one on back another on shoulders and one day on arms and legs.for the first couple of months eat a high carb and protein diet and hit the gym hard buy dont do to much cardio you will bulk up you might put on a little fat but dont worry if you been hitting the weights all you have to do is then cut down on your carbs but not protein still do your weights but do alot of cardio as well then you will rip out it worked for me

Some exercises are really new to me..i do 50 pushups and my age is 18,does it match?if not so how many atleast or minimum i shall do,then can i do situps,i do them 60 but once a week or twice..i also do cycling but only did for one week and left.

You're doing good, keep it up and at the same time always aim for higher each time you workout... Pushups, situps and the like will increase your strength and will help build muscle. Just again, eat in accordance to your workouts. I have always followed by cousins in working out and whatever I know is because of them, and they kept me away from any sort of weight training throughout my teens. Don't know how true it is, but weight training at a younger age stalls your growth and development so I would naturally recommend you stay away from any sort of weight training for another 2 years atleast but you may want to ask around aswell.. otherwise I would say you're doing good in the work outs you're doing.. I used to rely on pushups and situps too throughout my teens for strength.. just always try to aim higher.. don't think that now you're at 50 or 60.. and you stop.. just keep pushing the limit..

@Iqbal_Brar

You eat too much, like 7-8 eggs in the morning and many others. Dont you have any disease like hypertension and obesity?

No, I don't... if you constantly workout than eating as much is required for your body to get enough protein to build.. maybe if a person who is not using up all that energy it would result in those problems.. but an active person it should not!

Eggs still have a bad rep for cholesterol, which confuses me. Maybe an M.D. can clarify... but your cholesterol is made by your own body. It's not like the cholesterol in eggs magically passes through your stomach lining to enter your blood.

yes eggs are known for cholestrol and i'm always told by my cousins to throw out the yellow yolk (where all cholestrol is) of the eggs and only eat the egg white (all protein)... but i take down the yolk too.. sortta like the taste lol.. no problems yet hopefully none in the future.. :)

But yesss.. if people are worried about cholestrol.. i would also recommend.. throw out the yolk of the egg and only eat the egg whites!!

My Gym trainer says that its better to do push ups against a platform like a table or wash basin.
You can easily carry out around 60-70 in this.
And the resultant effect is just like 30-40 ground push ups.
Well i prefer this and it does work.
It takes time but the over all effect is good.
I can do around 300-400 push ups a day against a wash basin or a table or any platform!

if you can't do push ups otherwise its easier to do them that way but leaning against a table or wash basin is not better than doing push ups flat out.. infact it is opposite.. to keep your push ups effective and harder.. you should go the other way.. put your feet up on a table or a chair and be on a downward declining position.. to make your push ups more effective..

i work out 30 min every day . i am trying to increase my weight by 5 kgs from last one year but unable to do so i am six feet tall i weight 67.5 kg.

woww.. thats scary.. you weigh too little for a 6 feet tall person.. you should atleast be weighing 80-85kg at that height.. i'm 6'2" and i'm around 95kg though im trying to maintain it at this level now and not go any higher.. (and nooo im not obese!! loll i actually used to be pretty lean all throughout my teens.. i would clasify myself as someone with high metabolism) you just need to eat right and hit the gym.. and as I said before in my post.. squats and deadlift are your best friends :) oohh and ofcourse food and rest!!

.
I am although getting good chest but my belly is coming out too..anything for that??and ya..quickest way to gain more height :) ??

.
I think you are a lean/skinny type. I suggest you to eat meat, run, and stick with push ups. Advantage with you is that you are lean/skinny and not fat.

Hmm..My friend worked on his abs and got 6 pack in one month and 2 weeks,i followed his steps but in 2 months and 3 weeks,i got only it's shape ...i was somuch dissapointed that i gave up.....

lately (about a month now) i have this craze about bulking some mass and to get in good shape i have given up smoking. Its been a week now since i have not smoked but here is a problem.. Is it because of 2-3 eggs intake per day or the urge of smoking that is giving me this heart burns?

.
for me its 15 minutes running....40 push ups...and free weight lifting (most effective, and better than machines), thats it...but what makes the difference is the diet...eat everything especially eggs, meat, soya products..except anything sweet or with high sugar content. and yes..lot of water.
