Guys.. The new found friendship of India, USA, Japan is the order of the day.... The trends are slowly but surely emerging..

yep,we should go with the americans........for a a medium multirole fighter.....maybe superhornets or f-16 advanced blocks
they can provide some help with tejas

Would China honestly sell J-10Bs and Cs to India?

I am talking about speeding up AMCA...not new project.
but russia is also in requirement for medium stealth fighter thats why they start mig lmfs india should also gain something in it Russia has the technology and India has the cash. More importantly, both countries have a pressing need for a stealth fighter. If necessity is the mother of invention, then this is the time.

that's a 4.75+ Generation Jet.

Build up the strength of your squadrons with F18 Advanced Hornets.
Take saved money and pump it into PAKFA/TEJAS
Have Boeing come in and help with Naval Tejas.

Win/Win for all parties ;)

Are you sure this is a cost effective solution as your Ally Australia paid $6 billion for 24 copies ( ofcourse it included 10 year running cost + training) which means each Hornet cost whopping 250 million Aus dollars or 218 million US $!!!

well MOD and IAF love french wepons as they dont come with strings attached and steady and un inturruptrd supply of spares and wepons even in time of a coflict

having saud that i guess IAF and MOD should try to get same numbers of latest block Advanced/stealthy Spuer Hornets and that if and onli if USA gives in writing that there wont be any strings attached and get 60 ready made /US made planes and produce rest here in india US can give the same in 1.5 years withowt any fuss and there radars , avioniks and wepons are most potent and quite economical as against the french & dont forget they are battle tested and hardenned

rest ammount should we diverted towards making LCA MK2 and later blocks even more leathel

or if not F18s then go for equal number of latest Mig 35s with ASEA and thrust vectoring engines and all the latest modification im sure russians just might be having something simillar to SPECTRA as well and use israeli stuff on ity as well that way we can save billions on wepon packages and infra

or else go for SU35 with ASEA and all the latest techs developed for FGFA that way we will save precious time in transition and infra and wepons pacages

its high time to dump the greedy french

Rafale program was already in crisis and dependent on Indian deal. Do you really think that France wants to close Rafale program? This means a closure of rafale program. have doubt about the news authenticity
