PTI is doing it wrong. We should have -100 billion deficit and 50 billion monthly import bill. Our GDP will be increasing 25% YoY then.

If we can't control the ever-increasing electricity per unit cost as well as fuel prices, then I don't understand how new textile units are going to help bring inflation down? Yes!, new job opportunities will be created but the above two variables directly affect all other items.
So how exactly is inflation going to come down?

Yes but it will take time. Lack of infrastructure and connectivity is our worst enemy. I know in Faislabad the industry is working at its peak level but then the gas shortage hit and it is slowing them down.

So many problems to tackle and so many hard decisions to make. I am glad all the dirty work that requires iron political will is being done. Yes it gives very bad press but all of this needed to be done to correct course of our economic free fall.

I am glad it is being done now and people will see the results in the next few years.

people just don't understand this and play by politicians dirty game. we have to grow up to avoid "thara siyasat" and play part in nation building.

i would go beyond from politicians by saying, the filth media is filling the people's brain with and bringing chaos to the masses is even worst than these junk head politicians.

electricity prices cannot be controlled until we have those under construction dams and hydel power plants start producing cheap electricity.

we did not hit good deals for those power plants the time we finalized.

Wow Patwari aristotal Dar's students are talking. This is $3 Billion extra available for Pakistan ........missing these 3 B would mean more of trade deficit meaning $3 B less available for Pakistan to buy oil and other imports which mean people will face more shortage and more expensive products.

This is what a super genius economic mind like Dar, who if he wasn't a Pakistani Muslim, a life long leaguey karkoon and a follower of mian sahab would have won Nobel Prize in economics every year, would have done.
