KHYBER AGENCY: As many as 100 militants including commanders have surrendered before Pakistan Army, here on Saturday.

According to the reports, the armed forces gained a major success as important Taliban commanders and other militants renounced violence and surrendered before the forces .

The commanders and militants are from a banned militant group waging war against the state and armed forces of the country.

Some need to be killed yes, some are just following orders blindly and are brain washed. If those people are rehabilitated, it can help PA's cause to convince some other fighters that they have a choice to lay down arms and start a new life.

Who knows one rehabilitated might have 3 brothers who get convinced, 10 of their friends, 20 of the friend's friends and so on. But the main question is how you identify those people and get some sort of surety they wont go back to their old ways.

Oh bhai most of the khyber's, particularly bara's militants are different from ideological taliban, they are ordinary tribesmen forced by mangal bagh to do the service, ofcourse they would prefer surrender. Most would be afraid to surrender to army, as they know they wont be spared. So they are kind of trapped between mangal bagh and pak army.
