LahorePunjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that laptops distribution scheme of Punjab government is a revolutionary step to introduce latest technology to the younger generation.
He said focusing the attention of the youth towards information technology is highly essential to eliminate extremism from society. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that by imparting latest technology to the younger generation, they are being brought at par with the requirements and demands of the present era.
The Chief Minister was presiding over a high level meeting which reviewed laptops distribution scheme in detail. Addressing the meeting, Shahbaz Sharif said that, during the current fiscal year, 100,000 latest model laptops would be distributed among the boy and girl students, purely on the basis of merit, while the first consignment of these laptops would reach Lahore, by the end of October. He said that students studying in evening classes, religious seminaries, technical education institutions, commerce colleges and Islamabad education institutions have also been included in the laptops distribution scheme.
