And not to mention pakistan has yet to test a plutonium weapon, while Indian nuke test is controversial whether it really yielded the full yield. Americans say only 22kt was the yield while India says its 45kt. The entire nuke war might even turn out a half best effort.

Just wanted to know from Pakistanis

1. If you use TNWs it will be on Pakistani Soil. Do you seriously want to be the first (and probably the last nation) to use Nukes on your own people? Say we are about to capture Lahore. Will you use Nuke in the heavily populated Punjab region
2. If you decide to use Strategic Nukes will you use them on military targets like missile bases or on civilian Population centers?
   1. If your first strike is on say Delhi in hope to cut off the political leadership it will not be effective as they will be in nuke proof bunkers. Yes millions of Civilians will die but political leadership will survive to order the second strike+ you will need more than 1 nuke to destroy 1400 sq km of delhi not to mention the ABM batteries
   2. If you strike the missile silos then civilian casualities will be limited and you will not sure that you have destroyed each and every silo not to mention airborne and seabased nukes

The way I see whatever be Pakistan's nuclear objective they will not be able to neutralize second strike capability leading to baraage of nukes on Pakistan

The BJP Rajya Sabha MP, Subramanian Swamy on Friday made a sensational statementasking 10 crore Indians to be prepared to be killed by possible nuclear attack by Pakistan in the event there was a war between India and its neighbouring country.

Speaking at ABP News’ flagship programme, Swamy urged the Indian government not to give undue importance to Pakistan’s nuclear might and launch an attacks to avenge the killings of 18 Indian soldiers in Uri.

Swamy said, “In the event of a nuclear war, Pakistani nuclear bombs can kill not more than 10 crore people. We will still be left with 110 crore population. But our nuclear bombs can wipe off Pakistan altogether.”

When reminded if he was asking 10 crore Indians to be prepared to be killed, Swamy said, “I think the chance of a nuclear war is very low. But should it happen, 10 crore people should be prepared to be killed. Our soldiers die while protecting the border. Indian is the only country where officers to the rank of captains and brigadiers put themselves at the frontline. If they can die for the country, why can’t us.”

His statement has evoked angry reactions from social media users with most mocking his appeal for a war and large-scale death and destruction.

The BJP Rajya Sabha MP, Subramanian Swamy on Friday made a sensational statement by urging the Indian government not to give undue importance to Pakistan’s nuclear might and attack the neighboring country even if it resulted in a full-blown nuclear war.

In response to a question from jantakareporter.com’s editor-in-chief, Rifat Jawaid, the former union minister denied the allegations that his utterances were often bereft of logic and sensibility.

This was after Swamy was reminded how he had once called the former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee drunk and likened Sonia Gandhi, Tamil Nadu chief minister, J Jayalalitha and the BSP supremo Mayawati with Laxmi, Saraswati and Durga respectively.

Denying all these charges Swamy said, “I had never called Vajpayee drunk. I also never likened Sonia, Jayalalitha and Mayawati with Laxmi, Saraswati and Durga. I had used this analogy in the context of my efforts to form an alternative government at the Centre in 1999.”

Swamy’s provocative statements, often dubbed senseless by his detractors, had cost him his job at Harvard, where he once taught as a professor.

He had to face unprecedented anger by the American university after his article in an Indian newspaper demonised Muslims.

While reacting to the university’s decision to drop two courses taught by Swamy, Comparative Religion Professor Diana Eck had said, “Swamy’s op-ed [piece] clearly crosses the line by demonising an entire religious community and calling for violence against their sacred places.”

The Faculty of Arts and Sciences, according to a BBC report, had voted with an “overwhelming majority” to remove the courses taught by Swamy.

Labelling Rifat as Leftist, Swamy denied that there were any complaints against him for his article published in DNA newspaper. This despite the report that as many as 400 students had complained to the Harvard administration asking it to remove him.

Reacting to the Uri attack, which killed 18 Indian soldiers, Swamy said that some special forces had already crossed the LoC and reached near the headquarters of the Pakistan-based terrorist organisation, Jaish-e-Muhammad.

Swamy said that the senior Congress leader Ahmad Patel was acting as an umpire in the ongoing battle between Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and the LG Najeeb Jung.

Pakistan cannot hit targets deep inside India. They can only successfully hit targets closer to their borders.
Rest of the nukes will be intercepted by the BMDs. Any missile Pakistan launches with a target of 500 KMs or more will be intercepted and destroyed by India. The same cannot be said for Pakistan as their land area is just 1/7th of India.

So useless rants like

"Pakistan destroying all of India" are all BS.

On the other hand, India can paralyze or completely erase Pakistan (destroying all major cities including Islamabad) if they launch SLBMs from Arabian sea from inside Indian border. Pakistan can successfully use tactical nukes (if they work) on Indian army but destroying 'many' Indian cities is a far-fetched conclusion.

Pakistan severely hurting India is a fantasy which I would also enjoy if I were a dumb Pakistani but the truth is different..

First of all Nuclear bombs ki dhamkis come from Pak Defence minister and Mr. Sartaj Aziz. They are the ones who always keep threatening over small small things. Pak forum contributors shouldn't have selective amnesia.

Mr. Subramanium has just highlighted, what will happen if Pak starts dropping Nuclear Bombs.

Some very educated people write we will kill all Indians and blah blah like having diarrhea from their mouths. But they forget Pak is 1/3 of India, 190 mln people. They conveniently forget that would end up having more damage.

Kya yaar, sapne dekho, dusro ko bure sapne dikhao. Magar aukad mein rehkar baat karo. You people comment as if Pak is in North America and India cannot do while you spray 100 bombs.

You also forget that Pak will not hesitate to blow N bomb within Pak, if required. It means your generals are willing to make you Bakra Eid without asking you or even thinking of you, while they enjoy their scotch in pindi/under heavy fortified bunkers.
