10,000-km ICBM on cards

.
Yes I know, they like to call the Agni-V the "China killer".

Anyway, China has had nuclear-armed ICBM's since the 1970's. If we wanted to use them, then we would have done that a long time ago.

Good. Since we will both have ICBM. So, no one can say to each other in future.

Well,China's ICBM is a deterrent to USA while India's ICBM is a deterrent to China.I doubt anyone would use them anyways. India and China are too busy fattening up economically while EU and US struggle with debt crisis, deficit etc etc. Any conflict between the two would set back both economies by decades irrespective who wins. It's more of a case of my d*** is bigger.Nothing more :).

It is just a political game of seeing who will blink first. Like Sun zi said, the epitome of skill is to win a battle without fighting.

India is also not looking forward to use it either, but 2 of our neighbours are counting on China to 'teach India a lesson' and watch the show from the side.

Who is the other one?

Pre-flight tests for ICBM, has already been done for the past 3 years by a small and elite group of DRDO scientist and the Defence Ministries node is required now to put the paper work done so far to reality. One of my friend is in this elite group.

Used them against who and why? Do you even understand what the effect of a nuke would be? You talk as though it's as simple as firing off a Diwali 'rocket'. For God's sake man, get real and don't blow hot air like some Pakistani Generals often do, like Pasha and Co who claimed in their parliament that targets in India have been already selected! Like India is just gonna sit on its backside and watch the fireworks, what? :azn:

That is correct, we to do not have an idea of using this ICBM against China, its just going to be a costly tool to give the Chines government to avoid a second thought of using your ICBM's on India. Deterent buddy!!

We are not the ones naming our nuclear missiles after other countries. That would be the Indian media.

My point is that China had nuclear weapons and ICBM technology a long time before India acquired either one.

Sorry mate, the name was given by the media and no official channel has named it so. The media is desperate to get some popularity, thats it. Please do not quote that India names the missile as China Killer. No its not.

Relax buddy. Media in both countries tend to do a little bit of propaganda. Unlike China, Indian media is not really regulated and smaller players tend to come up with Headlines meant to grab eyeballs..

That was not GOI , that was a private Media body.

You official media also raised a hue and cry over the same missile about a year back , saying India's missile can also Target Harbin.

India's new missile is able to attack China's Harbin

and India had ICBM tech since our first civilian satellite was launched. We decided not to go for overt ICBM development. Developing them now would not take long at all.
