Sad.
But since one who died was a civilian it won't affect relations.

According to people aware of the matter, only two border outposts, at Chhangaru and Jhulaghat, which are located in Nepal’s Darchula and Baiteri districts respectively, exist permanently.
New Delhi: With Nepal’s new political map showing Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura as its territories, the country has started deploying armed police force for the first time at most of the 15 border outposts along the Indo-Nepal border in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh and adjacent areas.

According to people aware of the matter, only two border outposts, at Chhangaru and Jhulaghat, which are located in Nepal’s Darchula and Baiteri districts respectively, exist permanently. “The remaining 13 border outposts, which are located in Nepal’s villages such as Dakot, Syanku, Brahamdeo, Khate Bagad, Kakada, Diknkchi, Ukku, Baku, Rautara and Balra, are set up temporarily,” said one of the persons, who did not wish to be identified.

Earlier these border outposts were manned by the jawans of Nepal Prahari. “The new development is that Nepal has now deployed its armed police force, which is referred to as Nepal Sashastra Prahari,” said the person. “The armed police force may now man the border outposts round the year.”

The strength of Nepal Sashastra Prahari at Chhangaru and Jhulaghat is more than 20 this time, said another person. “Earlier, the Nepalese government used to deploy about six jawans of Nepal Prahari at these two border outposts,” he said.

Chhangaru, which is close to Sitapul on the Indian side, is located at a high altitude in the Himalayas, said the person. He said the jawans, who are deployed at border outposts, continue patrolling on their side of the border regularly. Indian security forces are closely watching every development on the Nepalese side, said officials.

Pakistan attacks from the west. China from North. Nepal from the North East. War from three fronts.
Nepal lacks strike air assets like fighters, UCAV and gunships. Transport helis are very few which are required in hilly or mountain terrain. Artillery is very less, no MLRS and AD lacks modern SAMs. Not sure if ATGM are in service.
If the basics are missing then the C4I, network centric warfare, Cyber warfare, Electronic warfare etc capabilities will be doubtful.

There is no Air Force while Navy requirement is not there. At best, Nepal should be able to thwart a border skirmish using infantry and artillery.

Against Nepal we dont need anything.
If we play nicely Nepalese themselves kill their leadership.
That is the level of Indian influence in Nepal.
We have a lots of option.
Nepal is not a match for us .
To become an enemy of India you need some kind of power

China annexes 60 square km of India in Ladakh as simmering tensions erupt between two superpowers
ByJoe Wallen NEW DELHI ; Sophia Yan BEIJING and Ben Farmer ISLAMABAD12 June 2020 • 6:00am

China has occupied more than sixty square kilometres of Indian territory in eastern Ladakh, according to a senior Indian Army source, in a dramatic escalation of the simmering tension between the two Asian superpowers.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal that up to 12,000 Chinese troops pushed over the border into India last month amid border clashes as Beijing looks to slap down Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his ever-closer relationship with the United States.

The move echoes Xi Jinping's expansionism in the South China Sea where Beijing have moved to construct military bases in contested territory and has been unchallenged due to its superior military.

Looks like even the smallest nation involved in the border dispute is willing to stand up to India. India is the real bully. Now practically every nation surrounding India hates them. Except for Bhutan. I deliberately didn't include Bangladesh because there are hints of the army's uneasiness and Indian puppet Hasina's days may be numbered.
