Probably because of limited funding, i kinda feel like paf is stuck with Jf17, it is a potent cost effect platform but not capable as J10, i think they will opt for limited numbers of J31 post 2020. goodday

F16 is an an excellent platform but it has reached the limits of its maturity and i fail to see any unique operational advantages it gives over Rafale, as for now Tejas and Tejas Mk2 will replace ageing fleet and fills the role of point defence, interception, escort.
