A recent CT scan found blood clots in the lungs. It's a medical condition called Pulmonary Embolism.
The doctor has now prescribed a blood thinner called Eliquis (5 mg).
1. With the change of position there's no intensity of shortness of breath. My dad says he wakes up on an average of 10 times from his sleep due to shortness of breath.
2. Yes he coughs up phlegm but it's not blood tinged.
3. My dad never touched a cigarette in his life.
I'll have to check with his doctor regarding valve malfunction.
