This is typical Indian thinking. You have a rampant child abuse epidemic, so everyone else must too. Nope. Not in this case.
The one child policy has everything to do with it. When you've got 7 kids, they can't all be little emperors. The resources just aren't there. Simple.
Like I've stated before, the one child policy actually had the opposite effect of child abuse. It is the well documented spoiling and over-pampering of Chinese children. China really has the opposite problem.
