If this is true... WTF? They won't even tell us which freaking fighters they are operating, what else are they keeping quiet about?
Are they still operating those ex-Ukraine MiG-29s as aggressors, or have they been returned?
According to Pakistan News Service - PakTribune the RD-93 has Digital Electronic Engine Control (DEEC), I doubt the original RD-33 would have had such a feature.
From an Alan Warnes article published in the July 2004 issue of AFM:
Don't worry, if the PAF are smart, they'll ensure Phalcon has plenty of "targets" to watch.

Sorry buddy, I don't think MK sahib will be telling you anything more about the actual thrust/weight of JF-17, he is quite strict about not revealing sensitive info. I think its safe to assume that the stated airframe weight is over-rated and/or the engine thrust is under-rated.

Separate bases and fighter squadrons for PN are not required, instead PAF and PN should be able to work as a single combined force.
How I think they will do/are doing this:

I think you got the wrong idea Gambit, JF-17 uses the DSI design precisely because it is not complex. A fixed design, with no moving parts, that gives high intake efficiency at sub-sonic/supersonic flight up to ~Mach 2 (according to an article in Lockheed Martin's Code One magazine). Some bits...

The FBW in yaw axis was reported by Jane's in one of their articles on the improved PT-04 version of the JF, but the same article also said it would later be upgraded to FBW in all axis.
I like how he KNOWS the PAF have chosen the SELEX Vixen AESA radar, just like he KNOWS the JF-17 has a FBW...
