    Pakistan F-16 Discussions 2

Stop being lazy, do a few minutes of research. First go to this website: www.google.com Then type this into the big white box: "Pakistan F-16 CFT"

Pakistan Latest F16 Block 50/52 and F16s after MLU (Oh My GOD!!)

The PAF got spares from israel? I guess it wouldn't matter if those parts were sabotaged, flying F-16s is better than grounded F-16s. I thought it was just Arab operators selling them at exorbitant prices, plus PAC reverse-engineering bits and pieces. According to one source I read, Saudi Arabia...

Pakistan's Airborne Early Warning and Control Aircrafts

What confusion? Erieye's radar gives 120-150 degree coverage on each side of the aircraft and the ESM suite gives 360 degree coverage. Until we can get confirmation that it uses extra radar emitters to cover front/rear radar blind spots, it does not have proper 360 degree radar coverage...

    Pakistan F-16 Discussions 2

Ra'ad is a cruise missile. I don't think it will have the data-link which allows the pilot to control H-2/H-4 from the cockpit. The SAAF link posted above says the H-2/H-4 communication system range is 250 km, but Ra'ad is stated to have a range of 350 km. Anyway, I very much doubt H-2/H-4 is...

    PAF's possible answer to MRCA

The term "open architecture" refers to computer software. How do you know DSI was incorporated easily? There is an article by two PAF Wing Commanders saying DSI was being researched since 1999. I agree the PAF is looking for an AESA, the question is will they wait for a Chinese one or go Western.

    Painting: The Art of Flying

How can I learn to draw like that? It would be a better use for my time than arguing with people on the internet.

    Pakistan F-16 Discussions 2

No big deal. South Africa developed something very similar decades ago and has used an earlier version of it in combat (The South African Air Force - H-2 stand-off weapon), a weapon which is also believed to be under production in Pakistan and operational with the PAF: ..:: DENEL DYNAMICS -...

I hope the forces have learned from that incident.

    F-22p News & Discussions

Just found this on Google. Somebody scanned the brochures of China's FL-2000, FM-90, FN-6, FT-2000, KS-1A, LY-60, QW-1, QW-2, QW-18 and TD-2000B air defence systems and posted them here: Army Recognition :: View topic - CHINESE AIR DEFENCE SYSTEMS (URL...

PN modified P-3C aircraft for land-attack missions

I'm not trying to score on any front, just stating some facts. I'm pretty sure nuclear weapons do not deter aggression unless it appears the owner is willing to use them. It doesn't matter to me what you think is "dirty", afterall according to you a conventional war between Pakistan and India...

JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 3]

According to test pilot Magnus Olssen yes it can, "but only on a cold day in Sweden." Source: http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/aw/dti0608/index.php?startid=34 Defense Technology International issue June 2008. Skip to page 36 to find the quote. Something I found while looking for the above link...

    G4 Tornado British Bomber

Damn right. If you read some Indian forums, they seem convinced that the PAF will flee to Iran like the Iraqi AF did in the Gulf War. They didn't flee anywhere in 99, instead they kept up combat patrols despite being at a disadvantage. I remember some newspaper reported that in late...

    PAF's possible answer to MRCA

According to a respected poster, this picture was taken in March 2007 during evaluations of Rafale by the PAF, who then went on to choose FC-20. They also evaluated Gripen and Typhoon and of the 3 European fighters, Gripen came closest to their requirements.

Pakistan's Airborne Early Warning and Control Aircrafts

Really? Why is the Erieye-style array much cheaper then? That is impossible, phased array radars can't do 180 degree coverage. For Erieye to have 360 degree radar coverage it needs extra radar emittors placed in the nose/tail of the aircraft, or in the dorsal array facing forward/backward...

Chengdu J-10 Multirole Fighter Air Craft News & Discussions

They didn't just sell RD-93, they're offering upgraded versions with TVC, they know InAF will probably not select MiG-35 anyway. Why wouldn't they sell a simple basic Al-31FN? The Chinese may well just install engines from their existing stockpile and order some more for themselves. Is Russia...

JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 3]

Trying to compare the newer JF-17s with the new LCA, k7x? No. Some time ago an ex-PAF officer at another website indicated they may be under the air intakes. They aren't proposed, according to an interview with then Chief of the Air Staff ACM Mahmood in January 2008, they were being worked on...

PN modified P-3C aircraft for land-attack missions

Try a google search for "Indo-Pak relations". BS. Neither side's conduct has been very good. Pakistan has been being backstabbed ever since independance. India took over disputed territory in the mid 80s, Siachen wasn't it? How is that different to Kargil? Oh its obvious why restraint was...

    G4 Tornado British Bomber

Its called Panavia Tornado GR4, GR4 means Ground strike/Reconnaisance mk.4. You should read the Wikipedia article on it, all your questions will be answered. Nobody discusses it because it is now an old design and countries in Asia don't fly it (except Saudi Arabia). Interestingly, the Pakistan...

Will Pakistan be able to make a Fighter

Taking into consideration the reports of Pakistan developing an armed UAV and modifying modern supersonic air-to-air missiles, amongst many other significant developments, there must be some R&D infrastructure already in place for developing aircraft. Having said that, it is very doubtful that...

JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 3]

From Wikipedia: JF-17 Thunder - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Pakistan Aeronautical Complex began manufacturing JF-17 sub-assemblies on 22 January 2008.[42] [43] Manufacture of parts had already begun at PAC in 2005. The PAF was to receive a further 6 pre-production (small batch production...
