there is nothing enviable about this relationship. They give money (quite a bit less compared to America and other international donors), the money is on loan and under condition that Chinese companies are given the contracts. essentially they give you a billion dollars and you pay them 2...
i think this is because the Muslim community in India has not benefited from welfare schemes that much, and remains one of the poorest in the country. I think its a good initiative, but should be open to all people when enough development has taken place in the Muslim community.
the Chinese are not your masters... its your country and your elected government has the right make decisions as it see's fit.
