The US and the USSR/Russia are the only countries that have passed and obeyed specific disarmament treaties. France, UK, and China have reduced their stockpiles mainly because of reduced threat perceptions and increased technological accuracy to avoid the use of nukes.
And coming from an army that went through this crap, my advice - don't integrate women into the combat arms - it ain't worth the effort, headaches, and heartaches.
From the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists - do check out the reference notes as they are more informative than the actual articles.

They spent several months what I can do in ten minutes to an UNCLASSIFIED network.
"Hi, this is tech support. I'm having problems with your account. Could you sign off and goto the sign on screen?"
"Good, now could you tell me what you type in as your account name...
I echo what the Brigadier has stated. There are situations where you do not have time to wait for the intel to pass up the CoC. This rescue was one of them. The situation was too fluid and I, too, would be within shooting distance simply because if I waited 5 minutes for the intel to get to me...
Right now you do. You don't have enough explored resources for both the weapons and the civilian program. Right now, you can do one or the other but not both.
Within this decade, this means nothing. Your thorium projects cannot possibly go into full energy production within this decade...
I have not seen any evidence of a MIRV program within India. Technically speaking, India may have a warhead small enough to be MIRV but I have not seen any evidence of the RV program for it. And it's the CEP of the RV, not the missile.
Those are two different issues. Missile-MIRV and nukes...
And the result is? All NSG countries will still need Hyde similar legislation to get around the non-NPT country issue. You're looking at the trees and not the forest. It's a chain reaction. Hyde goes down - they all go down and India will still be under sanctions. You cannot expect countries to...
You're ignoring NPT. Hyde was designed for the US to get around NPT, not kill NPT. All NSG countries will use similar legislations to get around NPT. In short, once you break Hyde, you break all rules to get around NPT and the results will be the same - sanctions. India is getting away with nothing.
That's the point no one gets. The Hyde Acts binds the US's actions to 123 and therefore binds India. If India wants to keep 123 alive, she have to abide by Hyde, there is no other way. The second she goes against Hyde, the US kills 123. It may not be India's act to kill 123 but the result will...
There are two different issues concerning this - Warhead size and the re-entry vehicle. With a warhead size of 15-40 KT, the AGNI-III might be able to accept anywhere from 3-5 warheads. However, with such a small yield, accuracy becomes the more important and thus far, India has demonstrated...
I supposed none of you heard of Grandma COBOL. It's alot easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission. It's a question of hot pursuit. If the Pak Army is not in place to intercept, then the only other choice than hot pursuit is to let the bastards go.
Why should it be surprising? Senate Amendments to the SALT Treaties are not reflected in SALT at all, neither are any START treaties. In fact, if you look at NATO, Senate laws concerning NATO, especially funding, are not inclueded in NATO papers at all. American laws pertain to Americans and...
The question is at what point is theoretical data just theory? All along I've been hearing that the Indian nuclear arsenal is as reliable with the N5 without doing the testing the N5 has done. If you believe that, then, the 123 Agreement is no sweat. If you don't, then the 123 is the hindrance...
40 years way too long for me to predict with any sort of confidence. At most I look at 5 years with 10 years as a weapons procurement life cycle. Thorium would have no impact during this period and thus 123 access to Ur is currently a must if India is do both - a civie energey program and a nuke...
Ok, Pakistan and AQ Khan. Iran and Hezbollah. China and the NPT (vis-a-vi Pakistan). Canada and Peacekeeping (ie Afghanistan). Australia and Afghanistan. Most of the ISAF countries in Afghanistan (ie, non-combat roles). UK leaving Iraq. India and the Kashmir vote. Pakistan and Kragil. You want...
You people are seriously joking me? One BEAR and you're all excited? During my time, we had at least one BEAR a week and at least twice a year, an entire regiment and you think one BEAR in a years time is finally changing the world?
How many of you want to buy my bridge?
