    Vietnam Civilian Killings Went Unpunished

Sir, There is simply no desire nor energy to revisit that part of American history. Whatever war crimes that occurred will stay burried unless there's an outcry to bring the people to justice ... and the only outcry is from the Vietnamese asking the Americans to forget the bad times and restart...

How can 'terrorism' be condemned while war crimes go without rebuke?

Which then could be rightly argued that this was not indiscriminate.

How can 'terrorism' be condemned while war crimes go without rebuke?

Only problem is can you prove indiscriminate versus collateral damage. As bad as you might think this is, it is NO WHERE near the civilian casualties I've seen in Yugoslavia.

How can 'terrorism' be condemned while war crimes go without rebuke?

I really think you're reading more into the GCs than what's there.

How can 'terrorism' be condemned while war crimes go without rebuke?

Hate to disappoint a lawyer but the GC is still functioning and valid though they are obeying strictly the letter of the law instead of the spirit. The sticking point that Muslim extremists like to ignore is that the GC applies only to legal combattants; not illegal combattants.

india may cross LOC to attack Pakistan

Sir, I've got a story to tell you. Back in the 70s, I was on a Forward Observation Officer course, training with CF-104s for close air support. We bellycrawlers didn't know they only carried nukes and the birdbrains thought we were too crazy to direct them onto a tank column. It was not until...

    Pakistan Missile Technology

What are you talking about? We know all those before hand because the Chinese told us. ALL your missiles are based on Chinese technology and we know they have not shipped you one design for their ICBMs. And everyone saw the Pak tests coming a long time before hand. It doesn't take a crystal...

    Pakistan Missile Technology

Damed easy to figure out if you're working on ICBMs or not. We watch your factories. You're talking a rocket tube the size of 5 story buildings and engines the size of buses, ain't exactly easy to hide ... and we have over 60 years of experience looking for these things from the Soviets to the...

Early Warning Systems: Relevance for India and Pakistan

Since both sides keep their nukes seperate from their delivery vehicles, that's plenty of early warning. Alot more than NATO/Warsaw Pact got.

Well, to add to this young and foolish story lines When I just earned my 2 bars (Capt), I was doing a BIP ex for my field sqn, only one of the troops was tasked with bridging support with the bridging sqn. So, I had about 4 kgs of C4 left over by the end of the day. Since I did not want to do...

    Pakistan Missile Technology

No, you're absolutely wrong. Pakistan doesn't have ICBM. Pakistan ain't developing ICBMs. Pakistan doesn't need ICBMs. And China ain't about to give you ICBMs. ALL launch pads that can support an IRBM launch WILL support an ICBM launch with slight modifications. It sure the hell does not mean...

    Pakistan Missile Technology

We don't talk. We command. I issue a command, "ie, I need this bridge over here by this time." Either I get a go or no-go. If I get a no-go, I want to know why. If the reason is legitimate, I listen and re-evaluate. If not, I say, make do and if the sqn cmdr still thinks he can't do the job (and...

Early Warning Systems: Relevance for India and Pakistan

How can either country get any early warning? Distances are way too small. The only warning either will get is a mushroom cloud.

    Pakistan Missile Technology

As I stated, we're soldiers. Bluntness is a tool, just like everything else. Command Officers do not only educate but also force people to discover their own mistakes, forces them to think. Telling a person that he's wrong and why he is wrong is going to do alot less than forcing him to figure...
