'Dubai-like' city to be developed near Lahore

Lahore and surroundings have seen massive investments unlike anywhere else in Pakistan. This has been going on since the 1990s. Islamabad was also built in North Punjab. If I have to answer how this is being perceived in the rest of the country, my words are not going to make a difference.

Thanks for summarizing the real issue perfectly.

'Dubai-like' city to be developed near Lahore

No more spending money in or near Lahore. Enough is enough. As a Bangladeshi, I can tell you all this money being spent in Lahore will hurt your national integrity. This will fuel fire in Baluchistan. Try to have half a brain people, blindly making the same mistakes of the past is downright stupid.

Pakistan Sets Eyes on China’s New J-35 Fighter Jet

I sure hope it is not bought, if bought just a handful is okay - but if many are bought, it would kill the Azm project and that is something that would upset me a lot. The camp that tried to kill the JF-17 would have finally triumphed over the camp that believes in indigenous development.

Pakistan officially 5th largest populated country on earth now

You don't stop. You expand. You build new mini cities all over Baluchistan, which is barely populated. Would also solve your insurgency there. You expand the country, turn parts of Afghanistan into a new tribal zone and later absorb it. You wait for USA to attack Iran and take over...

Pakistan Sets Eyes on China’s New J-35 Fighter Jet

Dude, J-35 is a derivative of J-31 (consensus, check also Hui Tong site). This means that if PAF goes for a derivative, it will be a derivative of... ... can you guess? What the J-31 prototype 1 with design flaws? Or the mature J-35. When Canada bought Hornets, why didn't they by the F-17...

Pakistan Sets Eyes on China’s New J-35 Fighter Jet

If PAF buys the J-35 in numbers, it will mean the death of Project Azm.

Pakistan Navy | News & Discussions.

One way to get Destroyers for the Pakistan Navy on a budget is to get used small merchant ships and add VLS launchers and other weapons. These would be in the 5000 - 10,000 ton range. There is a study by the US to do something similar to meet their own needs: The answer? Purchase low-cost...

The Egyptian army is moving suddenly and simultaneously with Turkish military exercises near the Egy

I think this could be an opportunity for Turkey with an "accidental clash" with the Egyptian's doing their salsa dance outside Libyan waters. Perfect way to sink the Egyptian navy and embarrass Sissy. And then claim "it was an accident, things got out of hand".

    Capabilities of PAF Dassault MIRAGE-III/V.

A dedicated JF-17 can do what a Mirage can do (more or less). However, the threat scenarios have changed. You'll be flying into S-400s and all kinds of other gizmos. Maybe in the future into PAC-3 batteries. So, one has to do a bit better than before. Here is one way I can think of, where we...

    Capabilities of PAF Dassault MIRAGE-III/V.

Why not build a new dedicated Mirage replacement. Use a Skunk works like process - where the cobbled together the F-117 from parts of various other aircraft. A stealthy, low level strike aircraft. After watching this video, I believe it is perfectly possible with the right project management...

Iran threatens retaliation for Natanz accident

I believe all this is in vain and Iran already has the bomb. This is exactly true. I've never met iranians who behave like the ones on here.

Japan cleared to buy 105 Lockheed Martin F-35 stealth fighters for $23bn

Well, I think it makes more sense to get rid of F-16s (F-2s) as they are also multirole while F-15Js have range and payload, as well as an airframe that can last longer (see Israeli F-15s and USAF in that regard). I don't know a great deal about Japan, but that's what would make rational sense...

Featured Russia would be developing upgraded engines for Pakistan's JF-17 fighters

If Thunder can be developed in 2.75 years, Azm can be developed in 10 years, if not less. Project started 2017 - that means will be in production by 2026 if that timeline of 10 years holds. I think that would be perfect as Block III / IV production will end around that time. Meaning PAC won't...
