The strategic bombers was good choice up to late 80s. But in current scenario they are of very little importance due to evolution in the air defence and interseption in A To A combat. Instead of long range strategic bombers I will prefer SU 30 MKI assisted with tankers.

IAF is a cry baby. They want kick backs in every deal. It has little chance in this deal. Also the MMRCA is getting delayed. The suppliers must be chassing them for the signinig the deal as the kick back has already been paid.

More than 55% indigenous systems in any product is fair enough. We always have option to increase indegenous content as the product matures. Also for the products with very low numbers, as AWAC being developed by DRDO, its practically impossible to have 100% indigenous content. As for Arjun DRDO...

Instead India should increase the Scorpean order from MDL. The current order of six should be increased to 10 with last 4 API propulsion .
