A. Straight from the horses mouth.
B. I'm pretty sure all of that metallurgical expertise is either lost due to a combination of time and our infamous silos of idaras or at best just siloed at KRL.
C. Composite manufacturing and centrifuge manufacturing are very very very different technologies...
Having seen their capacity very intimately I will respectfully disagree. The level of technical expertise, industrial base, and money invested into aerospace that the Turks have is easily 100 times more than us. If they really want to develop ballistic missiles they will. Their command over core...
OzgurPAK program? :partay:
The US train left in the 80s. The China train left in the 2000s. The Turkey train is moving and we will miss it too if things go on as they always do. The one difference is Turkey's albeit very small skin in the game with their local subsidiaries. Believe me they are...
So here's some insight into the issues with our UAV program that I've come to know of. Issues that prevent our UCAV with the same engine from achieving the same endurance, ceiling, and payload. Disclaimer: I am not an expert in this area and I am only conveying what I was told.
Apparently a...
I mean for example look at hurkus and hurjet. Does Turkey REALLY need to make those aircraft locally? No. There are many options on the market that would definitely be cheaper to procure. But running those programs is building an ecosystem like no other and laying the vital groundwork for the...
The sad part is that I think that some sort of program should've been seen to completion because all of the things the PAF has learnt with the JF17 will be lost. This loss of expertise has happened several several times in our history. Companies run programs simply to keep their workforce...
Like I said sloganeering is not going to work. All of these politicians are same khait ki moli. You mark my words, as soon as IK comes to power he will say the same things as Shehbaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif will say the same things as IK is saying now. To quote aunty gormint yeh sab hamko...
As you can see from the replies on this thread, Pakistanis care more about whose baba is better, rather than Pakistan's economy. Last year I was ghaddar for saying the military shouldn't interfere. Today I am probably nooni or whatever because I don't believe IK is infallible and holding...
I think the skepticism is warranted. This is no easy feat. IMHO if there is consistent drive to deliver (which there seems to be) some form of TFX will eventually cross the finish line. I don't the given timelines are realistic. But I think Turkiye certainly has a lot of the required inputs...
Sir you can repeat as much as you want. I have seen no solid commitment on PAF's part. Current status is observe TFX. Like I said that it is likely that eventually PAF will join, but as of now, at least I don't know of any joining of project. I hope your source isn't that TV interview and...
Depends on what PAF intends to do. All (most) of the programs are basically dead due to various reasons. So on the current course, nothing will come out of them.
Yes, we've all seen this program. As has been discussed to death on the forum and confirmed by Turkish insiders, Temel Kotil was being a salesman when he said those things. I will make it crystal clear for you. Azm is OFFICIALLY dead. It has not turned into TFX. Dead. With that being said, there...
The simple answer is that Pakistan is interested/involved in the TFX project and not just in a customer context (albeit they should've joined sooner). That's all I will say. Not because it's some super secret but because it is not set in stone and these things are fluid.
