I think he is Rahim YousafZai. In the PTV drama "Rashid Minhas", he acted as OC Flying, Masroor (Group Captain).

    PAFs interceptor fighter

Mirage IIIEA of No.7 sqd do have an A2A role. There were fitted with -9L and Griffo M just for this.

Was this piloted by Sqn. Ldr. Alam?

PAF's Search & Rescue squadron re-equipped with Agusta copters

The two Mi-17s previously operated by No.88 sqd, I assume, will be going to a new SAR at PAF Bholari ??

Air Chief Marshall PAF Plz return Capt Lutz uniform back to his family:--

This isn't my theory. I am just quoting what I was told by an air force officer.

Air Chief Marshall PAF Plz return Capt Lutz uniform back to his family:--

What I had heard from a senior retired PAF officer, the instructor-captain on board Atlantique lowered the radio volume to a minimum (so the constant radio chatter did not interefere with his instructions to the student pilot). This was a big mistake. The PAF controller warned the Atlantique...

AIR CHIEF INAUGURATES SHOOTER SQUADRON AT PAF BASE M. M. ALAM

Perhaps combining the still air worthy (F-7P) assets of No. 14 and No. 2 squadrons when they switched to JF-17s.

I have a question about the new PAF's AW-139 helicopters. News reported they were part of No. 80 SAR squadron. Any idea where is it based? Is it raised for PAF Bholari currently being built?

Contrary to popular belief, No. 13 Sqd does not exist. Saab-2000 AEW equips actually No. 3 Sqd. Following are the squadron crests taken from History of PAF (1999-2013).

Pakistan's Airborne Early Warning and Control Aircrafts

This is correct. As far as I know, PAF acquired a third one in 2008. The first two aircraft are called "Iqbal" and "Lodhi" and this third one was called "Mir". This was probably the one previously used as VIP transport in 70s and 80s.

PAF's Exercises from around the World.

HHmm..not quite agree with your statement here :-) summers in Canada specially in Alberta are gorgeous... temperature staying in 20's pretty much all of summers. As for the distance, Alberta is exactly straight north from Nellis AFB / Las Vegas so coming from Asia, it should be about the same...

I have always wondered why PAF never participated in Maple Flag exercises held in Cold Lake, Alberta - Canada or is it just for NATO countries? Maple Flag 2013 started in end of May and pilots from a dozen countries are participating.

But isn't No. 25 Sqd. based at Minhas? My understanding was Rafiqui only hosted No. 15 (Cobras) and No. 27 (Zarrars) Mirage squadrons besides No. 20 F-7PG and No. 83 SAR sqd.

PAF participates in "Red Flag" and "Green Flag"

HHmm... is he OC Flying Mushaf ? If he is the OC Flying now then Haseeb Piracha must be posted somewhere else as he was the OC Flying 38 Wing in 2008-9. I also read somewhere that Javad had some medical related issues and may not be flying again ????? Was this true?

I would guess PAF Skardu and the Mirage belongs to No.27 Sqd.

Sqn Ldr Shabbir Alam Siddiqui Shaheed

I am not defending Zardari here but I dont think there is anything wrong with it. History is full of carpenters, blacksmiths, farmers and others from lower middle class making it all the way to the top. Leaving other controversional things about him aside, being a son of a mason shouldnt be...
