Manhoos? I thought you guys did not believe in superstition?

    Pakistan vs South Africa: 2 T20s, 5 ODIs & 2 Tests

I'm impressed with Hafeez - scoring fast for a change when needed. Alam and he need to consolidate and have a 120-150 run partnership and then it is the hitters comfort zone. I also want to see Razzaq come in before Akmal. He is the fear factor for the Proteas and exploit their vulnerability to...

Indian money power wins over Aussie IPL-type T20 league

Gambling follows the money trail. But most of the gamblers come from other countries

Indian money power wins over Aussie IPL-type T20 league

The way things are going, that may well happen in the future. India can keep playing itself in the IPL ;) let's not give the bcci any ideas

Indian money power wins over Aussie IPL-type T20 league

True, they should have done some research before posting these figures. The 60 million figure is not from an Indian source. I'll try to find a link to it.

Indian money power wins over Aussie IPL-type T20 league

Ok I get your point, it just happens to be money from indian companies or individuals. It doesn't prove that the Indian team or the bcci are the best, but essentially Indian fans who significantly contribute to running the game.

Indian money power wins over Aussie IPL-type T20 league

81% of the money in world cricket comes from India and this is not a post-IPL phenomenon. So it is quite true in this case.

    Group Tweaks

That's what I was thinking too. A consistent quality of postings is the ideal way of judging members rather than quantity or longevity. Even if the time is unspecified, a member can keep spamming all threads till he/she reaches the number, and then wait for the clock to do the magic. Another...

Indian money power wins over Aussie IPL-type T20 league

I think it is 60 million. This seems to be a typo.

Bajrang Dal's warning to Arundhati Roy

I like the approach of the Home Ministry. They should let people like Arundathi Roy, Geelani and BD say what they want, but make sure no one goes overboard and causes physical harm to anyone. Govt not to file case against Geelani, Roy - The Times of India NEW DELHI: The government on Thursday...

Another Episode- Farooque Ahmed Arrested For Plotting DC Terror Attack

None of the significant media houses even named Pakistan in their headlines. It was mentioned in passing in one of the many paragraphs. If that was really their intention, it is not really difficult to malign your country's name, even you know that. And they can't help it if he has a Muslim...

Mullahs gathered at the hearing of Hector Aleem and Chanted Allah hu Akbar!

No dearth of religious nut-jobs in our part of the world I guess. What was the charge against him? Did he desecrate the Prophet or the Quran?

    Z Bhutto at its best.

Does that even matter? He was a politician and was trying to exploit the resentment among the uneducated folk. On another note, wasn't ZAB supposed be an excellent orator? He seems pretty ordinary in this video. His lack of command over the crowd and the proceedings was amusing.

    We Are All Juan Williams

Juan Williams didn't do anything illegal, but as a radio host especially on a balanced and respectable station like NPR, he has the responsibility to not reaffirm stereotypes. He is not being judged for what he said, but for the forum and his capacity.

Geelani, Arundhati to be booked under sedition charge

I think this action is to silence our critics before Obama's visit. I have an inherent dislike for phony activists like Roy, but then we are not a communist or fascist state, and must uphold her right to say what she wants. A successful democracy is one which is noisy, and we should not be above...

Calls for lifting ban on liquor at PTDC hotels

The key is to do everything in moderation. Banning something makes it a sort of "forbidden fruit", and as humans we will be tempted to do it more. If alcohol is available through non-legal channels, legalizing it will also get a good amount of revenue for the country.

    Looking for a doctor, Help!

@Gentle Typhoon: Go see an ophthalmologist as soon as possible. Some of these are standard symptoms of retinopathy and the usual cause for that is diabetes. Even if you don't have a sugar problem, this can happen in younger people. An extreme stage will lead to retinal detachment. I am sure you...

    THE ARRIVAL

Can you cite any one religion that has explored more than what science has? Religion quotes an "all powerful" person called god, but there is no proof that it is what he/she has prescribed. And there is absolutely no effort to explain how the universe came into being. At least science is trying...

Now, Sena targets mosques over loudspeakers

Not at all. The BJP never dared to cite her religion as their objection to her candidature (regardless of their personal opinion, the people would have kicked them out if they had said that). They wanted her disqualified for her country of birth. Hinduism doesn't require its followers to be...
