India and Iran: Challenges and Opportunity

India and Iran: Challenges and Opportunity

You're way too dense! Listen, if you don't like what I think, tough! take it else where. Indians are just to be traded with and made a quick buck with. You are not trustworthy.

India and Iran: Challenges and Opportunity

You still don't seem to be understanding the difference between trust and trustworthiness. Go read up on it.

India and Iran: Challenges and Opportunity

Don't be nasty Sammy boy! I've been civil in my discussions on this thread so far. But I could give you a taste of your own medicine if you insist.

India and Iran: Challenges and Opportunity

Correct! If Indians who have posted on this thread are to be taken at their word, you don't believe in the merit of principles and values, much less exercise them, and god forbid, pay a price for them. Westerners believe in their values and pay a price for them and adapt and change them over...

India and Iran: Challenges and Opportunity

Once again, being moral and ethical simply means you have a more pronounced or clearly defined set of values and principles and that you willingly exercise those. It doesn't mean the values themselves are all good or that they stay the same forever.

India and Iran: Challenges and Opportunity

lol... who said anything about money? And if you think sticking to your own word means giving others special treatment, well once again you're proving my point. You are the one who claimed trustworthiness is meaningless in international relationships. And I've been claiming the very exact...

India and Iran: Challenges and Opportunity

Exactly! In other words, if you want India to stick to its own word, you gotta keep paying it. Otherwise, if a higher bidder comes along, well they're up for sale.... I think you're unwittingly demonstrating the example of the word untrustworthy. That's a mercenary attitude my friend. And that...

India and Iran: Challenges and Opportunity

Yes I'm Iranian. And moral and ethical does not imply good or bad. It simply means adherence to set of values and principles. And in that they're certainly moral and ethical.

India and Iran: Challenges and Opportunity

What is so hard about this to understand? India gave assurances to Iran that it won't vote against it, and then at 1 o'clock in the morning of the vote, it changed its mind. Do you now get it? And again, you demonstrate my point by thinking that India must get something from Iran to hold its...

India and Iran: Challenges and Opportunity

India broke its own assurances. That demonstrates lack trustworthiness. I refuse to lend $1000 to somebody I don't know. That demonstrates lack of trust.

India and Iran: Challenges and Opportunity

That's not the point. Trustworthiness is an inner value. It has got to do with your own morals and values, rather than simply trusting somebody.

India and Iran: Challenges and Opportunity

What's even more interesting is that you think somebody has to do something for you, in order for you to become trustworthy.... It's like an onion. The more you peel, the stronger the smell...

India and Iran: Challenges and Opportunity

You're right. You never said India wanted to play Iran. I did. I said we needed to be careful about that and keep it businesslike. Because you've proven to be untrustworthy. Do you follow now?

India and Iran: Challenges and Opportunity

I'm sorry... didn't mean to poke fun at you! But honestly sometimes I'm amazed at the naivete of some members, and particularly Indian members here. What you mentioned above is exactly what I said we need to be wary of, when dealing with India. I don't know if you are aware, but for the past...

India and Iran: Challenges and Opportunity

Please don't keep repeating what I've already said. I already mentioned that we need to take a businesslike attitude toward India and make buck, if the opportunity presents itself. That's all. For me, that's exactly the type of third world mentality that sets you apart from more culturally...

India and Iran: Challenges and Opportunity

What I said was for the benefit of the Iranians on this board. I wasn't expecting you to like it. Yes it's ok to engage in business deals. And no, if we don't like, we won't sign, and you can take it somewhere else. No sh!t sherlock! Nobody said to wake up in the morning and think of how you...
