Press Trust of India
NEW DELHI, March 9: Notwithstanding an economic slowdown in the USA, India is likely to maintain 20 per cent growth in exports in the financial year 2008-09 but the basket may undergo a change, a finance ministry official said.

When we saw Atul Dodiya fetch Rs 1 crore shortly after a stalwart like Tyeb Mehta had just bagged his first crore at the Christies action in 2004, a few eyebrows were raised. A Contemporary drawing parallel with a Modern guru was...

Media coverage of Pakistan has been dominated by its political crisis and...
Neo, nobody denies the presence of sleepers on either side although high ranking officials are not going to start an insurgency movement at the behest of ISI. They would merely provide details of defense secrets at the most. Anyway, for a successful insurgency movement against India, Pak would...
So once again you slip into your rabbit hole when faced with the tough reality. Anyway, I've heard such bombastic statements far too many times to be bothered.. 'Hey we are going to support them', 'We'll ignite insurgency here'... 'In sixty years we'll break India into sixty pieces'. It is...
All that you are doing is merely discussing your wishlist without specifying from where you'll find your magic wand to make your wishes come true.
Tell me!!! who is going to support Pakistan for helping insurgents in a soveriegn country? Supporting a successful insurgency in a country nearly...
Now you are simply wishy washying the issue rather than trying to stick to the point. You have been resorting to rhetorics without providing a substantial account as to how you intend to carry out the task without being caught in the eye of the rest of the world. There are several Freedom...
AM,
I told you before.. I am merely a ringside observer & there is no way for me to know the truth other than refering to neutral articles. Now, how do I know that the Benett Jones' account of events are not fabricated? Why would a respected scholar try to contort the truth when clearly his...
If you wish me to stick to the point then just answer how is Pakistan going to support insurgencies in India when it itself is occupied with bucketloads of problem & every week articles emanating from western press of dissolution of Pakistan as a state?
AM, I am only a ringside observer so I would choose not be dismissive of any article. Also, I find it seriously hard to believe that a research scholar at Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and Director of the Asia Program at the Center for International Policy would enlist a...
Having tried all the tricks in the past & delivering only a craper I wonder what you can do next though it would be interesting to see how a crippled can climb a mountain.
I sincerely appreciate your remark if atall you were expecting some higher standards from me although I merely stated Pakistan's current position. But, I do hope you reserve the similar statement for your fellow compatriots who are dreaming of igniting fire in their neighborhood even though...
With Pakistan already occupied against Maulana Fazlullah in SWAT, BLA in Baluchistan, Baitullah Mehsud in Waziristan & whole gang of Lal Masjid cronies blowing themselves in every corner of Pakistan twice a week, I don't see how Pakistan can help anybody else apart from itself.
I saw it few months back. One of my pakistani colleagues gave me the DvD. I indeed liked the movie & was surprised with the high production quality (blame me for watching the Youtube clips of Maulla Jatt). But in performance no one came even halfway close to Naseeruddin Shah.
Sir, I am absolutely not surprised as how a man of wisdom & experience can rise above the nationalism & stick to reasoning. You've done so in all your previous posts and there is beyond doubt that you would continue doing so. But, I do believe that there is a very fair chance for major oil...
5% of 6 trillion would be 300 billion barrels more than the existing reserves of Saudi Arabia(250 billion barrel). Usually 20% of oil is lost in the offshore operations but still would leave a significant amount.
I doubt if this report is true.. oil producing countries(Saudi, Iraq, Iran, Qatar) in Persian gulf have a combined reserve of 750 billion barrels of oil which is about 50% of the total oil reserves(proven) in the world.
But if it is indeed true then the solution to global energy crisis has...
