Thats a rather optimistic prediction mate. Given your past record and Indias growing military strenght. I would think twice befor making generic statements like that.
Optmism is one thing but sheer delusionment quiet another.
Factually incorrect. China only declared commitment to Chasma-1 & 2, while joining the NSG. It declared no commitment to Chasma-3 & Chasma-4, as it now seems to be claiming.
well even in 71 our stance which you term as aggressive was in response to events that were happening in East pakistan, i.e the susiquent crackdown by the Pakistan Army and the pouring of millions of reugees into India. Even then technically the war began when the PAF mounted air raides on...
Even this happened only after "Operation Searchlight" was initiated by Tikka Khan. Half a million Bengalis were slaughtered and nearly 10 million fled to India. The Mukti Bahini was itself gun-ho about extracting revenge on the West Pakistan Army and so they kept crossing the border to mount...
Peter R.Kann
Dacca Diary
The Wall Street Journal
14 December 1971
[When the Indo-Pakistan war broke out in December 1971, Peter Kann was stranded in Dacca until Indian troops took over the country. Due to the difficulties of transmission he kept a diary of the events taking place...
me oversmart!! certainly not, atleast with you around. after reading your posts i have lost all such grandoise illusions about my intellectual abilities.
indeed i had a answer to your post, guess the message didnt get across. my mistake, let me put it in plain words for you since anything...
I didnt know we had a profeessional air analysist amongst us. Guess the IAF has got it all wrong then, we should have taken your advice instead or better still to have gone in for the F-7 Thunder!! That would have really help you form an good opinion about the MKI.
Kid, dont go by the logic...
what makes you think that? violence is at an all time low in Kashmir, nearly every week the Army kills terrorists in J&K. the ability of terrorists to strike is been nearly neutralised due to aggressive action by the army and infeltration is being tackled effectively. To me it dosent look like...
While the An-70 is a very capable aircraft it is still under development and its full potential is yet to be reached. But problems with financing and some technological constrains limit its ability to fully blossom into a very capable aircraft.
where as the C -130J is an already proven...
well, if the IAF comes out impressed with the prformance of the C-130J it is very likely that further orders will follow. and also as the rest of the transport fleet grows old, there will be further demand for good equipment to replace it. As Russia has nothing new to offer on the shelf at the...
Sri,
How did you come to the 77M$ per unit figure? By my calculation each unit is just costing around 40M$. Its not expensive by that count, given that the Su-30 MKI is such a formidable aircraft.
few would be an understatement here. from my experience of Pakistanis on the internet, the situation is just the opposite.
and one wonders how Pakistan is so radical, given your moderate definition for majority Pakistanis. some food for thought.
It is still too early to speculate about Army involvement in dealing with Maoists. Most likely the Army wont get in and its role will be of providing support and training to the paramilitary forces. The Maoists are not a serious enough problem for Army deployment.
Now,this made me laugh...
All this talk of the Iranian Navy escorting aid flotillas is nothing but 'sloganeering'. If the Iranians ever try this, they are going end up a few ships short and withought most of their nuclear facilities. Knowing Israel we can safely say that their response is going to be swift and decisive.
Genocide!!?? really..
I suggest you go through the definition of Genocide once again.
Gaza is also used by Hamas to fire rockets on Israel, killiing innocent Israeli civilians.
Hamas does not recognise the right of Israel to exist which goes against the Oslo accord. Now, Hamas does...
This is clear indication that India defence technology is maturing at a fast pace.
Another important thing to note is that the Indian Armed Forces have had very high quality requirements & if systems like Akash are getting such good response from the Indian Armed Forces they must be good...
