Google To Make Its Chromebook Laptops In India

First I read about India becoming the second biggest mobile phone assembler, now this. All I can say is "Impressive, now don't stuff up this general trend/opportunity!" 😉...

Breaking: Fifty-five Chinese sailors are feared dead after their nuclear submarine got caught in a trap intended to ensnare British sub-surface vessel

Entirely possible but may I point out the words of the (very interesting BTW) source you linked: "Treat with Caution: Unverified Rumors"

INDIA BECOMES WORLD'S SECOND BIGGEST MOBILE PHONE MANUFACTURING HUB

Yah, moving up the value chain is a sensible plan if you can do it. There is apparently no product on earth that currently has so many components and sub components that crisscross back and forth over so many international borders as todays smart phones. Anything that will simplify and help...

Breaking: Fifty-five Chinese sailors are feared dead after their nuclear submarine got caught in a trap intended to ensnare British sub-surface vessel

I will agree with the first part. Rumors, no matter how widely circulated do not in themselves equal credible sources. Calling them "intelligence sources" does not make them more reliable either. On the other hand I'm not so sure about a submarine sinking being as difficult to hide as a whale...

Iran will establish a permanent station in Antarctica

Interesting questions do often cause discomfort amongst those looking for just an echo chamber. However, I have no interest in wasting my time on those who resort to personal attacks. So I will, for the first time on PDF, test out this "ignore" button thingie. Have a nice life. 😀

Saudi crown prince: Israel and Saudi Arabia moving closer to normalization ‘every day’

I don't know about things that could derail this process or if it will happen any time soon, however in less than a week a second Israeli minister plus delegation visited KSA. https://www.timesofisrael.com/minister-knesset-committee-chair-land-in-saudi-arabia-for-postal-conference/ Anyone...

Iran will establish a permanent station in Antarctica

Indeed however I am curious who exactly would police this? Australia? USA? Are they going to physically prevent some military base from being set up?

FRAUD: Why the India-Middleast-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) is a Total Fraud?

That's one of the beautiful things about the IMEC. Most of the infrastructure already exists. It's just a question of linking them up - mainly a rail and pipeline from KSA to Jordan. And the Saudis and Emiratis are happy to pay for that. That's the beautiful thing this deal is for the...

Don’t be surprised by China’s collapse

Of course not. But only a few like Japan and select Western countries have achieved both thus far.

China collapse? China will be more powerful than ever

China is demographically collapsing but India is 30 or so years behind it. India has time to, maybe, to grow rich before it grows old. Time to see if any other country can reverse a population demographic decline into a steady, sustainable population and to learn how they did it. It would be...

Don’t be surprised by China’s collapse

It's not so much Chinese elderly (like what's a mere half a billion people here and there) but rather China. It is a huge part of the current world order. If it falls apart, as some have predicted, the world is in for a world of hurt.

Don’t be surprised by China’s collapse

Because the scale of the problem and the speed that it is happening is simply that huge. In the USA with a much better demography than China plus immigrants, so the demographic transition is happening a lot slower, some $1.2 trillion or ~20% of the budget is spent on welfare programs as of 2023...

Don’t be surprised by China’s collapse

China will absolutely run out of people or at least productive people. Just for instance who will look after the many hundreds of millions of elderly? Because people are living longer but not having children, the demographic transition means that there is a huge bulge in the population pyramid...

Iranian Navy | News and Discussions

I hope that you are getting paid in advance. As I understand it, Venezuela has less than $10B USD foreign cash reserves and this amount is trending lower.

What happens to a Saudi or Emirati when they visit Al Aqsa Mosque?

IMO, the Palestinians will, in time, accept that they should make all visitors welcome. Especially some that contribute so much money to their cause. The Abraham Accords are merely new. Egyptian and Jordanians don't get this treatment, amongst other reasons, because there have been decades to...

Erdogan asks Musk to build Tesla factory in Turkey

Elon Musk is a Mavrick, so anything is possible. On one hand Turkey is theoretically well situated geographically to export cars to the region. Erdogan has for the last few years reversed a decade of confrontational relations and is on an extended charm offensive in the region. He seems to have...

Iran will establish a permanent station in Antarctica

There is an unfortunate tendency on this forum to play the man not the ball. I.e. to belittle the writer and impune his motive rather than, for instance, grudgingly acknowledge when one might actually have a point. I am a citizen of the world. I happen to have immigrated to the USA. If this...

Don’t be surprised by China’s collapse

Japan managed to get rich before it got old. It also has had 40 years to try different strategies. It is still in big trouble. You can, by the way, buy rural houses in Japan for free. It has worked itself, literally, into this demographic disaster. But by amassing per capita wealth before it got...

Iran will establish a permanent station in Antarctica

Not at all. The pro-science aspect of the Iranian people is one of its great strengths. And in my opinion sets it apart from many other countries in the region as well as apart from certain other at least officially "fundamentalist" belief based countries. No my thinking is that a country that...
