What are the numbers of such persecuted people in India? These incidents are sad, but miniscule.
Minorities are thriving in India. This is despite the fact that a lot of them don't assimilate.
The ones who don't like to live in harmony with the majority /other groups can't expect others to treat...
Europeans have had a phenomenal run for the past few centuries.
Other civilisations may have been leading before them, but scientific research was not a strong suit of any civilisation before them.
Ancient Europeans, Chinese, Egyptians, Indians, Arabs, everyone sucked at scientific exploration...
I think I mentioned the most significant cause.
Others -
1. If Kashmir gets into Pakistani sphere of influence, it hurts us. We are rivals, aren't we?
2. Plenty of people are just opposed to any idea of division. Hell, we have regional riots even when a state divides. Eg- Andhra/Telangana.
3...
You are not going to find any significant support for separatism from the Sikhs, Hindus or Buddhists of the J&K region. This makes it clear that the separatist movement in Kashmir is of a religious nature.
As a secular country(at least on paper), we are not going to give up strategic land...
You would be here pressed to find a burqa clad woman outside ghettos, in Delhi. Maybe it is different in Pune and Mumbai.
Exceptions exist, though.
Very common amongst the poor, and jobless, though.
These tribesmen could have advanced further and captured more territory. Interestingly, they got busy in activities that prevented their progress.
(do lookup, what activities...)
A single blood parameter may not be that significant. Presenting symptoms, current symptoms and other tests may help with the analysis.
But I'm guessing OP already has the diagnosis.
In that case, any qualified doctor should be treating his father as per protocol.
My best wishes.
This either doesn't happen, or rarely happens. I hate the right wingers' tendency to mix lies in an otherwise reasonable discussion.
(Disclaimer - I'm an economic centrist, and extreme left socially.)
Most of the criticism of the left political parties in this article, is justified...
My area of expertise. Haha.
India has very few (ridiculously low) number of government medical colleges. Fee in these colleges range from a few thousand rupees, to a couple of lakhs. Anyone in the country can afford these. But good seats are available only for 30k students(pg) in these...
I think some European countries, and even UAE have already shown that it can be done.
If you develop islands off your coast, you can even sell it as an international destination.
Other option would be extensive vertical growth further inland, coupled with large open public spaces and roads.
I would agree that India has been ranked higher than many countries with better standards of living.
Part of the reason is that we are very business/money minded, and don't really care about aesthetics until we reach upper middle class status. We care more about income, till that point.
So you...
Since India has been mentioned,
our petrol prices have been hovering in the range of 70 to 80 INR for quite a few years now. Slightly less for diesel.
The government has increased the tax to take advantage of the low procurement cost of oil. That's reasonable. People on the ground hate increases...
All Muslim women in my college quit wearing the burqa once they started their studies. Even the ones with family in the gulf countries.
Further, in Delhi, the hospital I work in, is in old Delhi. My patients are mostly Muslims.
Aside from this, I have lived in a lot of states for short to medium...
I would disagree, this is not true for most places I have been to. Burqas are on a steep decline, and one common demand of Muslim women while marrying, is that the husband doesn't force them to wear a burqa. Some rare rich people who live in ghettos do wear one, but anyone living in mixed areas...
