Lets wait and see wait and see how this story develops before we jump to any conclusions about who they were and what should happen...

    Operation Rah-e-Nijat (South Waziristan)

Firstly, welcome to the forum. Secondly, Pakistan is not going after those fighting NATO in Afghanistan right now because, although you're right when you say all Taliban are a threat, we to need first take care of the immediate threat being posed to our own country by Pakistani Taliban. If we...

Army close to winding up first phase of operation

I believe one of the reasons the army chose to attack just before winter was so that once winter breaks the TTP fighters hiding in the mountains will be forced out due to the extreme cold. It seems this op was more well planned than most assumed, atleast until now. I wouldn't be surprised if the...

Musharraf Ki Yaad AAyi Us Kay Janay Kay Baad

He is also probably responsible that those people killed in the Lal Masjid aren't out there now, planning to blow themselves up in crowded markets and as for Balochistan, he's responsible for taking out Bugti, a man who deserved execution. How many times does he have to list the number of people...

Why terrorists dont attack non-Pakistani people in Pak?

 Ok, so if the people attacking us are not the Taliban, then who the hell do you think they are? A bunch of Indian cyborg monkeys? Seriously, I think that as long as Pakistanis keep living in denial about the Taliban and fail to understand that the people attacking us are Pakistanis...

Why not GOP or WE offically announce US is our Real Enemy ?

We will not announce the US as our real enemy because they are NOT our real enemy for the time being. We have issues with them, but that is no reason to not accept their help in defeating the enemy within. First we secure our own land then we worry about foreign policy. For now the US is our...

    Terrorist Casualty Count

According to this article, seemingly upto 80-90 militants were killed around Shishwam and around 150 were killed in Spinkai-Kund Sector on October 17 and 18. If this is true then is seems the militant casualty count is much higher than previously percieved. DAWN.COM | Pakistan | TTP chief?s...

Pak Army's 'mother of all battles' might turn futile as Taliban slip away: Locals

Some Taliban may have slipped away into other agencies, but I'd expect the army to notice the movement of thousands of militants from S. Waziristan to Orakzai. I believe the army has a presence in Orakzai, if I'm not mistaken, and if the Taliban go there in large numbers, I'd expect a few more...

In the event of war with india do we need a strong navy to attack all indian ports

The IN has a much larger coastline to patrol, therefore they have a huge navy. We only have a small coastline, therefore, for defensive purposes, we only need a small navy. We have uptil now not been very offensive as far a naval ops go, so we should just focus on establishing a mobile, stealthy...

    The War in Kurram

Forget the Mahdis, let's just discuss the situation in Pakistan, where the Taliban seem to be trying to exterminate the Turris. The army needs to also concentrate on the other areas of Pakistan other than the Waziristan area. If the enemy is not checked in places such as Kurram before launching...

Viewpoint of a Swati IDP - Is he right ???

You're the one suggesting that videos were faked, not me. I asked you to prove that they were faked. You don't seem capable of proving this, therefore I believe that most of the videos showing people who've suffered due to Taliban are genuine. From what is being shown, most people seem to be...

I will never forget Zardari's first meeting with Sarah Palin. I almost literally felt sick in the stomach.

Viewpoint of a Swati IDP - Is he right ???

So are you suggesting that all of the horror stories about the Taliba are false? There are so many of those stories and they far outnumber those which are pro-Taliban, most people from the Valleys seem to be supporting the army or are taking no sides, as shown by the interviews. These interviews...

Musharraf on CNN - debunking US aid myths and more!

I'll give you a few examples. One is the Lal Masjid Operation. Granted, this whole episode should never have occured, but after the Lal Masjid spisode started, rather than going in gungho and having everyone killed, Musharraf stalled the operation long enough for most civilians to escape and did...

    Mi-17 down, 26 troops martyred

May he rest in peace. But still, I think the media should stop reporting figures of 41 if the number of people onboard was 37 or lower. It's not responsible to report figures till they've been completely confirmed.

    Mi-17 down, 26 troops martyred

Nahi yaar, I'm saying that it seems there were militants close by on nearby mountain peaks, so unfortunately, it may be possible that the chopper was shot down, even though I personally think it's unlikely. We can't be sure until the official enquiry is over.
