I am a kashmiri, but not by birth. I have not been to pakistan in over 10 years though, so i remember it as it was then, seems like a lot has changed.

I am a muslim, but i am not a sheep. I am not one to blindly follow what somebody tells me, be it shariah, or secularism. As i said before, it is ideal if we lived in an ideal world.

Why would anyone choose tribal/feudalism? Can you explain why? Im all for a responsible democracy, but i recognise the issues with blind voting ala Zardari. Perhaps pakistan is not ready for democracy, perhaps it is, nevertheless, teething problems have to be overcome, incompetents removed...

Pakistan at the moment is being abused by those people in charge. It is nothing but a cash cow and base of power, influence for many. Drastic changes are needed in many areas, and soon.

Voted to repeal. I think that these laws are not enforcable effectively, and intrude into the private lives of pakistani citizens. We have enough problems as it is without having to enforce an arrest everytime one accuses another of blasphemy on dubious grounds.

I dont care much for labels, Islamic country, secular country, whatever... Pakistan should be a free country, minorities should be allowed to feel safe in Pakistan, they should be offered opportunities as equals, only then we can progress, case in point, immigration to the USA pre and post...
