114-2= 112 Or is that too difficult to get around your head? So what. There are 100s of members on this forum who disagree with you, with me, with cb4 and amongst themselves. Many of them have higher ratings than the three of us. Does that mean they're right?

See what I mean by silly. I'll entertain your ratings point however. My 271 posts (most of which were placed before the rating system) / 112 = 2.42 posts/rating You 376/122= 3.10 posts/rating. On the balance, solely looking at this nonsense rating system, there is nothing between us.

These forums get sillier day by day and I do have a life outside online forums.

In which case you should be kissing my feet seeing as I've been here longer than you. If that had been my plane, I would have kicked him off and fed him to the GE-90. I hear the titanium leading edge on the graphite fan blades provides excellent FOD protection.

Senate panel told: China to build new Gwadar international airport

How will they lose when their inherent strength lies in their resources - Resources which barring poor "quality" unexportable coal, Baluchistan (and Greater Pakistan) lacks? For Gwadar port to be viable, it needs a strong export economy to support it. Something which Pakistan can not develop...

    Post-mortem: Karachi Airport Attack

Apparently in India, you place a greater value on your military assets than you do your citizens. Lovely.

Pakistani and Iranian border guards exchange fire

If those are the metrics you're going by, what does that make Pakistanis and Indians in relation to one another? Culture = tick, history = tick, religion = x versus Iran where culture = x, history = x and religion = ?

PIA’s flightpath out of turbulent times

Comfort is down to the cabin configuration the airline uses. If you fly on an Emirates Boeing, you will get a 17.3 inch seat width in economy. If you fly any of their Airbus aircraft, you will get 18.5 inch seat width in economy. Seat pitch is roughly the same in both (33-34 depending on where...

PIA’s flightpath out of turbulent times

Not sure why you two keep harping on about code shares. PIA to my knowledge only codeshares with Turkish, China Southern and Thai. That's three countries which in terms of pax traffic are amongst the lowest in the PIA network.

Some relevant aircraft leasing costs for this topic: Back again, here is the winter 2014 update on industry aircraft valuations and market lease rates. As before, the below list contains estimated current market value (in USD) based on the oldest to newest airframes, along with sample monthly...

PIA’s flightpath out of turbulent times

You're not reading or interpreting my words. PIA would be competing against US and Canadian airlines BETWEEN the US and Canada. A Los Angeles-Vancouver-Karachi flight operated by PIA would be a Fifth freedom flight if paying pax were carried and dropped between Los Angeles-Vancouver segment. It...

PIA’s flightpath out of turbulent times

I agree Turkish growth is very impressive and sustainable. I flew with them just recently for a conference in Astana Kazakhstan. Very nice business lounges and food too! PIA caters predominantly to the Pakistani diaspora. The cities I listed, whilst having large Pak numbers, due to airline...

PIA’s flightpath out of turbulent times

It's not just Canada that has to agree. The US has to agree too. After all, you're competing against airlines from both countries. I understand you're point. But like I've said above,Fifth Freedom rights can be extremely hard to get, especially in big markets where there are a lot of competing...

PIA’s flightpath out of turbulent times

Incorrect. They can not do that as traffic rights between US-Can would not allow it. For example, Air New Zealand flies london heathrow-los angeles-auckland. Air New Zealand is not allowed to sell tickets on the los angles-auckland-los angeles segment for london origin/destination flights...

PIA’s flightpath out of turbulent times

Like you said, they're due next year, not as the article claims says 'in the coming weeks'. Also, it would be a folly to start LA, San Fran, Vancouver or any other NA city. PIA couldn't make Chicago work when Emirates, Etihad and Qatar weren't there. As implied in the article, these 777s will...

PIA’s flightpath out of turbulent times

This is incorrect. No 777s are due. There are only 3 A32xs coming. The tender for 8 A320s was cancelled and a new tender closing in July has been issued. He nor any other PIA employee should have anything to do with the regulatory authority (CAA). It creates a conflict of interest and can...

Quaid-e-Azam with Pakistan Armed Forces 1947-48

You do a great disservice to the men who served in the regular regiments which constituted the bulk of the Pak army by referring to them as 'militia men'. I suppose in your eyes, the Punjab regiment magically popped up in '47. India in terms of area and pop was much greater. That's because...
