This is strange, I was under the impression that SPY/1D can detect a vlo stealth cruise missile at about 165km, a ballistic missile warhead target or about rcs .3 m2 at about 310km and a fighter sized target at around 740km. Spy-6 is said to be 35 times more sensitive and be able to detect a...
It doens't appear to be much difference either way, f-35 will have much better speed, much better weapons, and the best avionics and sensors of any fighter. F-117 didn't have defensive avionics and air to air missiles. Stealth is the only way it compares to f-35.
Ever heard the expression a day late and a dollar short? Just because it came out later doesn't make it the superior performer. You can't just side skirt decades of experience on your first try. That goes for J-20 and Su-57. Years from now I hope these designs come out of hiding and are finished...
Lucky shot, F-117 dropped plenty of bombs though.
There is reason to believe that Su-57 not only has far inferior stealth but that those radars will not make up the difference. Russia's AESA specs on other radars are not too impressive compared to the best and I don't know where china compares...
Older but still appears to be the best, it set the standard and still does.
I am not aware of satellite tracking of flying stealth aircraft but they may get an idea of what base is occupied as certain times. It would be hard to guess detection ranges because we know relatively little about...
What about the helmet sights? Obviously f-35 has one and if I'm not mistaken f-22 will get one soon as it's been made a priority. Does J-20 have one or are they developing one? I question the agility of J-20 because I don't hear much touting of it, it doesn't appear to have thrust vectoring and...
Perhaps not for who it's fighting in the merge but it's in trouble there because it doesn't have a lock on after launch missile and doens't appear to be very agile. Not sure if it has a gun but I'll assume it does. It relies on the traditional methods of dog fighting in that case. And any...
