Peace is in no doubt everybody's interest but one more contingency that India needs to have is better relations with Philippines just like the way we have developed our relations with Vietnam which has rose to its own level in the recent years.
Why do you think he mentioned the altitude issue ??
Are you serious ??? Why would a helicopter try to engage a fighter jet ?? Any fighter jet is capable of shooting down even the best helicopter if helicopter tries to confront the jet.
Most of the Indian disputed border areas are located in...
Isn't this the same one that BSNL is trying to set up since 2008-09 in response to MOD releasing 2G spectrum ?? WTF, its still not operational ??? It wasn't even like that BSNL was building everything. They were purchasing everything from Ericsson and just setting up the network and that too...
@Spark
Is this another order or the same one that was placed a month ago ?? I asked this because last year also one order for 5-6 OPV for ICG was placed and that too went to Goa Shipyard.
Not all 400 are operational but number is 300+....Not to mention DRDO/OFB are upgrading India's 140 M-46 guns to 155mm. Another 220 kits will be ordered soon to upgrade 220 M-46 to 155mm. After this i think IA will upgrade all the M-46 to 155mm till they will be replaced by newer guns.
But the...
What India has around 400 Bofors...
What are you talking about ??? PA is ahead of India in the artillery if you exclude Brahmos. There must be other platform that PA has in 155mm category.
I proposed it for IA's mountain division but you are talking about the best artillery in the world built by US and Germany together. The good thing with this system is you can mount it on wheel or track or just a separate unit as shown in the picture, its so light to making air-lift possible...
Yeah thats true....but the other one is ST Kinetics Pegasus which is banned. IA doesn't have any other option in this category thats why m777 is being purchased.

Ask A.K. Antony.... :hitwall:. By this time if we would have ordered a company separately to build light 155mm guns we would have the result and that too india specific. BAE, KMW, Nexter, ST technologies, Denel, Soltam, Czech artillery makers have already entered in the indian market anybody...

second option best for IA is...
German Artillery Gun Module
Weight Module: 12.5 tons, with MLRS hull 27 tons
Length 10.42 m (34 ft 2 in)
Width 2.97 m (9 ft 9 in)
Height 3.06 m (10 ft)
Yeah with proper upgrade we can increase the range of LFGs and even increase the accuracy of LFGs. And if Indian companies are not capable of upgrading LFGs, then we can always go to any foreign firm...
US sanctions turns out to be a gold mine for India. If this gets successful, India will increase its oil imports from Iran, rather than reducing as this way, India will be able to dramatically increase its exports.
All these sectors can hugely benefit India.
Chabahar port is also getting...
I am not sure about Siachen....its a tough call....considering the living situation over there is a mess, demilitarization of Siachen will benefit an infantry soldier. On the other hand from strategic point of view its important too...Not to mention, Pakistan will definitely attempt a Kargil...

The NAMICA shown in the video is not of LnT, its the same NAMICA that is shown in the first pic (drdo one) but LnT is involved in that project too just like in Pinaka. This video shows the test being conducted in 2009. After the 2009 test IA asked for more changes and LnT was asked to build...
No india does not have enough money and neither we ave talented people (i mean the qualified workforce for defence tech is very less, i am not talking IT). As far as money is concerned, good thing for us is weapon development cost in India is less.
We have separate projects like Astra BVR, ADE's LGB kit and air launched cruise missiles like Brahmos air launched versions and Nibhay cruise missiles and Brahmos mk3 (cruie missile for Mig29).
Considering India will be using 5th gen aircrafts and UCAV in the next decades like FGFA, AMCA and...
