Bangladesh squeezes imports of luxury items amid economic crisis

Excellent decision by BD government but it has been doing this for around the last 6 months. This article is a bit late in the day. Squeeze unnecessary imports in order to keep the essentials of the economy functioning and once the world is over the current economic headwinds then the policy...

Now India Wants 'Special Arrangements' in Chittagong Port!

Dude, I am giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming you are not a troll old poster under a new ID. BD can produce almost everything for something like below (except processor etc): https://waltonbd.com/television/4k-ultra-hd-tv/w43d210uw Yes dude that is a 4K TV with both the...

Now India Wants 'Special Arrangements' in Chittagong Port!

These trolls are all over the place.:cheesy: First they say that BD has higher GDP per capita than India and then it is lower! I know you are just playing with them but engaging these types just pollutes BD threads. BD is now less than a decade away from escaping 3rd world status to join the...

Private sector driving Bangladesh towards $1-tr economy

Yep, Sylhet has contributed disproportionately to BD’s development through gas, remittances and also brainpower at the top of politics. Let them have their silly fights while we Sylhetis get ahead. All good as Sylhet also benefits from being part of BD.

Private sector driving Bangladesh towards $1-tr economy

BD’shis must be the only people who think the private sector can flourish without central government creating the right business friendly environment. Bizarre conclusion.

Private sector driving Bangladesh towards $1-tr economy

This unprecedented double-digit expected CAGR growth in a country where GDP per capita has already reached 8,000 US dollars at PPP will allow BD companies to keep growing rapidly in order to generate more revenue and profits to invest overseas for rapid overseas expansion. Expect 30% of the...

Private sector driving Bangladesh towards $1-tr economy

More data to back up the strong growth of the BD economy. There can be no doubt that BD is now the only Asian "Tiger" economy at this moment in time.

China may have ‘passed the point of no return’ as Covid infections soar

Dude.... If you going to get angry, at least make sure your facts are straight. Apart from a short-sharp peak up to 170 one day in June, they(Taiwan) have been averaging around 50 deaths a day since then. No, the vaccines will not stop every death as there are some people that cannot have...

China may have ‘passed the point of no return’ as Covid infections soar

No we do not have anything against China but think your government is either stupid or trying to cover something up like Chinese vaccines do not work as well as those from the West. Once the "vulnerable" population in countries such as the UK got jabbed, then deaths from the virus went down by...

China may have ‘passed the point of no return’ as Covid infections soar

Just how long is China going to keep this up? It is going to wreck it's economy. The only solution is to let the virus spread unimpeded through its population and then achieve "herd immunity". BD has been at "herd immunity" since February and it's "vulnerable" is being protected by the fact...

Questions and grand designs of urdu being state Language of united pak. Why is it trivilised?

I think we need to let this go. Two completely different people were brought together and it was a total disaster. We need to move on and stop thinking about the 1947-1971 period as it is pointless and wasting energy from creating a better future.

Inflation in BD on way down and now down below 9%

Like I have said many times, there is no benefit and only harms by engaging the likes of them. BD in effect may one day become a giant Singapore as it has the population density and ethnic unity like Singapore but that is many decades away.

Is Bangladesh already a Bankrupt country?

Not. sure whether these guys actually think before they post. BD per capita PPP has caught up from India in 2022 from being at 70% level of India's when AL came into power. Yes India also benefits from the growth of the BD economy but BD itself also benefits from having access to Indian raw...

Inflation in BD on way down and now down below 9%

I have no idea where you are going with this. Please explain what you mean by "countries that fall in your profile".

Is Bangladesh already a Bankrupt country?

Relax as what they say will not happen as AL will be in power till 2029 at least. By then BD will be a "middle-income", semi-educated and half mature country and so whoever comes into power will not be able to undo all the progress made since 2009. Like I say they are emotional and simply...

Inflation in BD on way down and now down below 9%

So many people have been accusing the BD government of faking its statistics for years and they have all been proved wrong. The data for overall inflation using the basking of goods and services that BD measures is correct, although it will be different between demographics in the population.

Inflation in BD on way down and now down below 9%

Again, along with the stablisation of the forex reserves over the last 2 months, shows that BD economy is handling the current economic challenges quite well. For comparison India is at 7%, Pakistan at 27% and Sri Lanka at 66%. https://tradingeconomics.com/bangladesh/inflation-cpi

A lot of these things are happening anyway with the major transport infrastructure projects that have been completed and ongoing. BD is able to improve faster than others like India in the region as they are coming from a lower base.
