"Al-Alam, the Iranian state TV's Arabic-language channel, showed two Guard commanders examining what appeared to be an intact ScanEagle drone."
If it wasnt shot down, how they brought down the drone intact? If the same way as RQ-170, then its on US not fixing the issue. Or Iran found a new way...
Its surprising though, this drone is very small, and territory Iran's radars has to cover is very large, how on Earth they detected it? Israel with the most advanced radars cant detect small drone even in tiny area. Does Iran possess the best radars in the World or something?
BTW I wanted to address the color. "Daily Mail" didnt had anything bad to say about sub itself, so they started nitpicking on color.
"ship's designers mistakenly chose the color, believing it would help the craft blend in with the ocean's waters."
Wait a second, so Iranians just randomly...
It can fire two "veggies" like this: VA-111 Shkval - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Iran produces them as Hoot torpedoes, I'm not sure NATO even has anything to counter them. 700kg warhead can sink just about any warship, maybe even carriers.
Then these can lay mines, and other nasty stuff :azn:
Pretty much, diesel subs can stay underwater for a ~month, after that they can refill anywhere - underwater caves, converted fishing boats as you mentioned, you name it. There is a very long coastline (with n islands), and subs are very small - I dont think it would be an issue for Iran to keep...
US most definitely working hard to address this issue over the last 30 years, and I would worry in US place, because as of recent examples, US still doesnt have proper detection of diesel subs.
On the contrary, diesel subs are extremely quiet, and if you look through US Navy exercises, they lost to diesel subs every single time over the last 30 years.
"Twenty-three years ago during the 1981 NATO exercise Ocean Venture, an unnamed 1960s vintage Canadian diesel submarine sank the...
The fact that AP is spreading absurd propaganda isnt new or surprising, what is new and surprising - a quality analysis on guardian :meeting: Who says miracles dont happen? :azn:
Its based on fake "laptop documents" from 2003, IAEA under El Baradey already reviewed them and dismissed as baseless. Thats why US with alies installed Amano, so he would push even fake claims as "credible".
During NAM meeting few months ago, 100% of NAM countries supported Iran's peaceful nuclear project, that makes it way over 100 states mentioned here. List of countries can be seen here:
